Lollipop....Lollipop!!!

Good evening everyone.
I hope you are all well and enjoying this lovely sunshine....At last!!!!
Today I have a card to share...
I was at a friend's recently and we were stamping out various images and having a play with pens and pencils. As usual I didn't finish the project....because we just end up chatting....so I sat and put this card together last night.....and Brogan has just laid claim to it as she needed a birthday card for the weekend.
That didn't last long did it?....

The paper is from my scrap box....I think it's Kaisercraft ~ Lilac Avenue Collection. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. The little heart buttons and pearls are from The Hobby House and I've finished off with lots of Stickles.....

Ink & Paint....Everywhere!!!

Good evening everyone.
Tonight I'd like to share some of the pages I created while messing about with inks, paints and sprays.
These were created after attending a class in Harrogate at Art From The Heart with the fabulous Kate Crane.
This first page was actually done while I was in the class....but it's not finished yet!!!

I created these next few pages at home and they are really experimental pages.

The idea is, if I like any of the results of these pages I'll 'Try' to recreate them in my main journal.
These are just the start of the pages....I know they look a little boring at the moment but I have lots of elements yet to be added.....such as stamping, collage, journalling,doodling, rub~ons etc....

Cheesecake Wishes!!!

Good afternoon everyone.
I hope you are all well. 
Today I have a card to share.....it's been quiet here today so I have managed to get all the housework done, made the tea and I've even managed to get a bit of my DT work finished.....I usually leave it until the last minute........

I love this image from Penny Black....called Cheesecake Wishes. 
I've had this stamp for years and it always makes me smile as I remember a day many years ago when I had taken Brogan out for a walk in her pushchair. We came across a patch of dandelions and I was showing her how to blow them so the seeds floated away....A Dandelion Clock....naturally she wanted to have a go but she sucked air in instead of blowing out and ended up with a mouth full of dandelion seeds.....Bless her!!!....I hate to say it but I laughed for ages.....and it still makes me chuckle when I think about it. I'm sure she will be thrilled when she reads this....Not!!!!
I have coloured the image with Promarkers and edged with chalks. The papers are from my stash and the flowers are punched from various sized flower punches with pearls added at their centres. I've finished off with a little bit of Stickles to the seeds and the dandelion centre.

The image is another Penny Black stamp called XMouse Ornament!. I have coloured again using Promarkers and used some of my Nestie dies to mount the image. I have dry embossed the white card with some embossing folders and added gems and pearls from The Hobby House.

Getting Inky.....

Hi everyone....I hope you are all well.
I just wanted to share a couple of journal pages that I have been working on after spending a day with Kate Crane at Art From The Heart last month.
After the class I bought Kate's fabulous DVD and to say I'm hooked is an under~statement....I've even got my daughter Brogan having a go and she loves it too.....to be honest, she's a bit too good at it....but don't tell her I said so. We had a great time getting covered in paint and ink.....but not such a great time clearing up after ourselves though.....
What a mess we made!!!!
These are my first pages.....

I worked directly from the DVD and followed Kate's instructions to the letter for these pages.
And these are my next two pages....

My own work....
Although neither of these pages are complete I'm really pleased with how they have turned out.
I plan to spend some time this weekend messing about with Gesso, paints, inks, stencils etc so watch this space......
