A Stitch In Time....

Good evening everyone.
Well I know I'm a little late adding this post this weekend but I have been very busy.....
What with finishing off the bathroom, I've now made a start on my bedroom and believe you me, covering up raspberry pink wallpaper with white paint is taking some doing......three coats of white paint so far. On Friday I spent a crafty evening with the girls and today I spent a lovely day with Sandra, Jaqs, Lynn and Carol at a craft show at the Lincolnshire Showground.....and I spent far too much money on crafty goodies.....but what do you know.......I 'needed' them.
Anyway it's time for another challenge over at

For my tea~light I took inspiration from a wonderful creation I saw, which the very talented Helen had made a few weeks ago.....it reminded me that I had saved the very same tutorial to 'my favourites' with the intention of  having a go myself and me being me.......never got round to it.......as per usual. You can find the tutorial here.

I used Kraft and new papers from LOTV. The image is a cute House Mouse stamp coloured with Promarkers. The snowflake die is from Marianne Creatables and the brad, spacer and snowflake charm are from The Hobby House. I finished my creation using some garden twine, Stickles and a computer generated sentiment.

Up, Up & Away

Good afternoon everyone.
Well as you can see I haven't posted anything since Tuesday so I must be back at work.......
But I do have a card to share today although it is a very quick and simple affair.

The image is a very cute pre~coloured die~cut from LOTV. I have used some old papers from my scraps box again and some left over bits of Kraft. The velvet ribbon was from a box of chocolates I'd been given as a gift and the buttons are from my button tin. The border punch is Martha Stewart and the sentiment was computer generated.......I resisted the temptation to keep adding bits and pieces to this card but I managed it.

A Christmas Tweet.....

Good evening everyone.
Well it was back to work for me today......a shock to the system after a lovely week off I must say.
I have another card to share today too......I know this won't last.

Now I have had this stamp for years (I don't know what it's called as there is nothing written on the side). I only ever stamp it in one colour.....I've never coloured this image up.  The papers are from LOTV and the ribbon was from my local craft shop.  I found this pack of Poinsettia die cuts from Craftwork Cards that must have been stuck at the back of the drawer forever and the pearls, lace, brad and spacer are from The Hobby House. The small snowflake brad is from my stash.

It's very early....and why am I wide awake?......
Well that will be down to the main guy's 'Snoring!!!!!!' so loud they have launched the Humber lifeboat twice during the night (only joking).....that's what I'm going to tell him anyway when he eventually wakes from his slumbers.

In The Pink....

Good morning everyone.
Brrr....it's cold this morning but the suns shining and it looks lovely from where I'm sitting.....inside....
 I'm trying to write this with one tiny black and white moggy....Pickle....who seems to think the laptop is the best place to sit while she taps me and squeaks for breakfast, and squeaks she does since having a stroke some month ago. She's also epileptic, rather wobbly, arthritic and one of the old ladies of the household.

For my card I used this sweet digi image from Pink Gem Designs called Daisy Jodie. I have coloured using my Promarkers and I'm really pleased how they blended to match these papers. The heart border punch is from Martha Stewart and the pearls are from The Hobby House. The little flower is from my stash and I'm not sure now that it really works.....but HeyHo, it's there now.

Gone Fishing!

Good morning everyone.
I hope you are all well .
I'm on a roll at the moment with my card~making......think it has something to do with having a week off work, although how I'm managing it I don't know.....what with working around plumbers, plasterers and endless amounts of dust and mess......mind you if you could see my craft room at the moment!!!!!
Anyway despite all that I have another card to share.

I've had this little chap coloured up for ages.....this is 'Fishing George' from Molly Blooms. I have coloured using Promarkers and the papers are from BasicGrey ~ Marjolaine. I have added some buttons and twine from my stash and pearls from The Hobby House and I've finished off by adding some Glossy Accents to his wellingtons and the little jar with the fish inside.

Well the central heating is on, so I guess that's the end of Summer......if it ever began in the first place!!!!
