SURPRISE!!!

Evening everyone....another long day at work today but thankfully its a shorter week.

Today I have a card to share that I made using one of my House Mouse images....I love these stamps.

The image is from the Birthdays collection called ~ Balloons. I coloured using Promarkers...I don't seem to use anything else just lately. The papers are from Kaisercraft ~ La-Di-Da collection and the border punch is Martha Stewart. I just added some Stickles to the large balloon that the mouse is holding.

AT LONG LAST....

At long last I have something to post....I haven't been too well over last two weeks so I apologise for my lack of posting (I haven't felt much like crafting) and I also apologise for my lack of commenting on your blogs but hopefully now things are back to normal....Whatever 'normal' may be.....

This is the latest scrapbook page that I have completed. I did this yesterday at my class at Running With Scissors....Thank you Tracey for the design and always being so patient with us....the papers were perfect for more of Brogan's prom pictures.

We've had quite a busy week last week with one thing and another....My daughter got her GCSE results and I'm thrilled to say she got 10 A - C grades and is waiting for one to arrive. I am so proud of her, particularly as they shut her old school down at the end of her year 10, half way through her GCSE's. Then moved her to a school nearly 4 times bigger for her final year....almost all her tutors left during the year, course work was lost in the move and the new head teacher left. So well done Boo I'm very proud of you...

We have also booked next years holiday....a cruise and I can't wait.

Right everyone's out so I'm away to the craft room to see what mess I can make.....

Thank you for popping by.....

GARDEN FAIRIES

Evening everyone.....I hope everyone is well....

Today I have a card to share that I made just because I had the time. This is one of my all time favourite stamps and I haven't used it for ages....

The image is a stamp from Little Claire's and I bought it at a craft fair a few years ago. I have coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad called Bloom and Grow. I think the large rose is from Prima....I can't quite remember...sorry. I have just added some gems, some punched die cut swirls, a Magnolia dragonfly and some Stickles to the fairies wings to finish.

I followed this sketch from the Sketch N Stash challenge:~

WEDDING CAKE

Afternoon everyone.....Well it started out promising to be a nice day but although its reasonably warm its become quite overcast this afternoon.....

Today's card is very simple....I think my Mojo has gone AWOL this week, possibly down to the fact I've had a rotten cold and didn't really feel well enough to do any crafting. So if anyone finds said Mojo can they please send it back home to me as I'm now beginning to feel better.

I've used this design for wedding cards for ages and I saw something like it in a magazine a long time ago but can't now remember which one it was. Its very simple, just using various punches to create the cake and flowers. I didn't want too much fuss on this card.

Tonight we're going to an evening reception at the Town Hall. A friend of mine got married in June and is now having a party to celebrate with family and friends. So as I'm now getting over my cold I decided to cheer myself up and I've been out to have a little pampering today.....a much needed facial and I've also treated myself to having my nails painted and a bit of nail art.....my nails look lovely but sadly it will all have to come off tomorrow evening as I'm not allowed to wear nail varnish for work.....such a shame!!!

I promise I will try to get round to see every one's blogs as soon as I can as I've got quite behind this week leaving comments.

Thank you for stopping by.

PEGS POSIES AND PINS

Evening everyone...another long shift at work again but hey ho it helps to keep me in crafting supplies....

Today I'd like to share something a little different, something I have shown before (in another colour combination) but something I seem to have become a little obsessed with....and that's decorating giant pegs....don't ask me why, I just enjoy making them and they look so pretty and they are very nice to give as gifts.

The papers were scraps from my scrap box left over from making a card. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pins are from the Hobby House. The little dragonfly is a Magnolia die and I've inked the edges of the peg and the dragonfly with a Distress Ink. I cut the dragonfly from sparkly card and the roses were sprayed with Glimmer Mists to give them some shimmer.

SAY CHEESE...

Evening everyone....It was my first day back at work today after 11 days off and its been a verrrrry long day.

Today I have a card to share that I have made for a friends birthday.....

The image is a House Mouse stamp from a Joanna Sheen set called....Birthdays ~ Balloon. I have coloured the image using my trusty Promarkers. The papers are from Craft Creations Limited and are some of my favourites. I tried to keep it fairly simple but added quite a few of my favourite embellishments....pearls from the Hobby House.

I followed this sketch from the I Love Promarkers Challenge....

DUCKS AND FEATHERS

Afternoon everyone...I feel really out of sorts with myself today just can't seem to get myself motivated but the sun is coming out now so hopefully I will buck my ideas up this afternoon. ....it might have something to do with the fact my mum asked me to make a card for a man....and I'm so not good at men/boy cards...

Anyway this is what I came up with....

Its really not one of my greatest achievements but I thought I would show it anyway. The image is a Crafty Individuals stamp that I've had for quite a while and never got round to inking up. I used Distress Inks to age the edges of the image and the cream card. I found a few feathers while cleaning out a drawer the other day and as you can see they have come in quite handy here. The sentiment is LOTV and I just added a brad and some ribbon.

I was going to colour both ducks with Distress Ink but decided against it but next time I think I'll give it ago. The card is for my Great Uncle who always likes to receive a hand made card so I hope he likes this one.

And look what the postman brought me this morning....

I was lucky enough to win Fleur's blog candy and its wonderful....I'm sure I'll have great fun creating something with all these lovely goodies....I can feel a black and white creation coming on. Thank you so much Fleur....

CHRISTMAS TED...

Good afternoon everyone....Well the weathers cold and horrible again but at least its stopped raining.

Today I have yet another Christmas card to share....I'm on a roll now....

I bought this stamp yesterday from my local craft shop as I thought the little teddy and robin looked very cute....The image is a Milton and Co stamp called ~ Milton and Sledge. The papers are Cosmo Cricket ~ Jolly by Golly. I bought this paper pad last year and never used it....bad..bad crafter. I coloured using my Promarkers.

I decoupaged the little robin, added Stickles to the fur on the teddy's coat and hat and glossy accents to his boots. The sentiment is from LOTV. I also used a Fiskars holly border punch.

WAITING FOR A BLUEBELL DRIP

Morning everyone....Well its cold, miserable and raining here this morning so that's me stuck in the craft room then....Isn't that a shame!!!

Today I have an ATC to share....I haven't made one for ages....

The image is a House Mouse stamp called Waiting For A Bluebell Drip. I stamped the image twice and after colouring both images with Promarkers I decoupaged the little mouse and the bluebells. I added some very tiny icicle gems to the flowers and leaves to make it look like raindrops. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart corner punch.

I think this is my favourite colour combination to use....until I change my mind tomorrow that is....

LITTLE YELLOW FLOWER

Look at me....my second post of the day!!!! Can you tell I'm off work this week.

I just seem to have so many ideas buzzing around in my head at the moment although I know my partner would say that there was a lot of space in there for ideas to run free.....got in there before you did Mr T....

My second card is a birthday card for a friend....

I absolutely love this stamp....it was a freebie from the Craft Stamper magazine and I think its just so pretty. I have coloured the image with Promarkers. The border punch is from Martha Stewart, the dragonfly is a Magnolia die and I have used a selection of different Nesties and a CB embossing folder. The pearls are from the Hobby House.

WHITE ON WHITE

Morning everyone....three posts in three days, I haven't managed that in a while. The back is improving after I pulled a muscle celebrating a 'try' at Twickenham on Saturday....silly me ~ see HERE....and the suns out!!!

Today I have another Christmas card to show, my fourth card so far this year....

I followed this sketch from the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge:~

The image is a Forever Friends stamp that I picked up a while back. I love this cute little bear with the robin but I adore anything with a robin on. I coloured him using Promarkers. I really struggled with the white on white theme and was very tempted to add more colour but I managed to resist as I want to enter this card into a couple of challenges. I embossed using several different CB folders, added a few gems and  a sentiment from LOTV.

THINKING OF YOU

Hello everyone.....its a bit cold and miserable here today but no rain yet!!!

Today I have a card to share that I made for a very special friend who isn't well. I just wanted her to know that I'm thinking of her.

The image is called 'Isla' by Sugar Nellie. I have coloured her with Promarkers and the papers are from Prima ~ The Madeline Collection. I have used a Martha Stewart border punch and a Nestie and some flower punches. The butterfly, gems and pearls are from the Hobby House.

I have followed a sketch from the Pink (INK) Sketch Challenge....

I was also lucky enough to win this lovely CD from the House Mouse 100th Celebration Blog Hop:~

Thank you Christine from Nanaseaside. I love House Mouse and I'm sure I'll have great fun with this.

I'M A TWICKERS CHICK....

Evening everyone....hope you've all had a relaxing weekend. I have to confess there has been no crafting this weekend for me as I have been away enjoying one of my greatest passions.....rugby. I am a fanatical rugby fan and on Saturday I went to see 'My Boys' ~ England play Wales at Twickenham. I have loved rugby for as long as I can remember....

This is Brogan outside the stadium....

This is us having a Guinness before the match in The Scrum Bar....

Its not rugby without a Guinness....to which I am a little partial although not normally in a pint....but hey ho....when in Rome or Twickers.....

A very kind marshall offered to take a photo of the three of us....by the way that's my Guinness Brogan's holding.....

These photos were taken as the ground was beginning to fill up and then when everyone had taken their seats....

Eighty two thousand people....give or take....

The National Anthems....really brings a lump to the throat....

The game....

England won 23 ~ 19 and I came home a very happy bunny indeed....with a rather sore throat and a pulled back muscle when I shot out of my seat when we scored a Try....Now for the World Cup.....I can't wait.

Sorry if I've bored you all with a non crafting post but I hope to get lots of crafting done this next week as I have a whole week off work now....Yeah!!!

Thank you for stopping by.

LOOK WHAT I FOUND....

Morning everyone....it looks as though its going to be another sunny day here.

I was having a little rummage in my craft room yesterday and I found some cards tucked away that I had made well over a year ago as sample pieces....and as this blog is a record of my crafting experiences I thought I would show them today. I'd bought some Sarah Kay decoupage glitter die~cut sheets and was having a play. I wasn't really quite sure what I was doing and I followed a few examples of cards that a couple of friends had sent me in the past....so 'Thank you' Liz and Lisa for the inspiration.

Here are the cards I made....

I'm not sure why but anything green, blue or turquoise I put on my blog never seems to come out true to colour....must work on this me thinks.

I have also completed another scrapbook page that I started at my local craft shop....Running With Scissors....I think I'm up to date with finishing these now....that is until I find another bag stashed away somewhere with some poor, unfinished page inside.

These photos were taken a long time ago a my niece Chloe's First Holy Communion....she's seventeen now bless her.

 Thank you for stopping by.

SWEET SIXTEEN

Good afternoon everyone....well its been a wonderful day with lots of lovely sunshine here but it is becoming a little humid now so I'm waiting for a thunderstorm....I love thunderstorms.

Today it is my baby's sixteenth birthday....all grown up bless her and it seems as though it was only yesterday when she was born....Where does the time go?

....and this is the card I made for her.

This is another Sassy image called Call Me....quite an apt image I think for Brogan as she never seems to be without her mobile phone these days, either talking or texting.

I have coloured this little sweetie with Promarkers and I have used papers from Basic Grey ~ Green at Heart. The brads and pearls are from the Hobby House and I found the little crocheted flower in my stash.

I followed a sketch from the Papertake Weekly challenge and then silly me missed the deadline.....
