Radio Boy

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Well it's very early and I'm wide awake........

and there is thick fog outside the bedroom window......so hopefully it may be a nice day.

Today I have another card to share.

I made this for my partner's birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr Chuckles.....

(Oh Boy will I be in trouble.....)

I think there was a theme with his cards this year and I think we have him all summed up....

Images of Radios, Bikes, Monkey's and Wine Bottles/full/empty or just the corks left!!!....No Dog or Book ones yet but we have the rest of the day!!!!.

This was a perfect image for his card as he always has the radio on.....and I mean all the time. Yes Mr, it's your fault I listen to The Archer's and Desert Island Discs on a Sunday morning and I had to have my own PINK Dab radio. He even leaves the radio on for the dogs when he goes to work....I'm informed they enjoy it......although I'm not quite sure what their favourite shows are......I will check with them later!!!!!

The image is from Little Claire's.....I think. I bought it so long ago now but knew it would be ideal for this card......I can't believe I actually remembered I had it to be honest.......I guess that's another sign middle age is setting in.....along with....

"Mum, why is your purse in the fridge?"

"Don't worry about where I put my purse.....where's the milk Kiddo?"

Mmm....just a little worrying!!!!

The papers are from a BasicGrey 'A Little Black Dress' paper pad and I have coloured the image using Promarkers. The stars are a Nesties die set and the pearls are from The Hobby House. The sentiment is computer generated.

Gus Again....

Hello everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I can't believe how cold it's been today.

Well I have another card to share.

I made this for my dad's birthday which was earlier this month and I just thought this image was perfect for the job.....

Sorry dad, I know you don't look quite like this.....Yet!!!

The image is from Bugaboo and I just love this fabulous sentiment that comes with the image.
I have coloured using Promarkers and the papers are from my stash. The buttons are from my huge button box.....Oh I wish I had a pound for every button in that box!!!!! I used a piece of old garden string to thread through the buttons and the pearls are from The Hobby House. I finished off by adding some Glossy Accents to Gus's glasses.

The Card None Of Us Want To Make.....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Today I have a card to share....although this is one of those cards that none of us want to make....I'm pleased I did, as it would have been too simple to take the easy route and go out and buy one.

I made this card for my partner to send to the family of his friend who sadly passed away last week.

I never know where to begin with this sort of card but I'm happy with how it turned out and I have to thank the very talented Kate for the original idea for this card.....

Thank you for stopping by.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Another Cheeky Monkey....

Good morning everyone.

It's so cold here this morning and it's trying very hard to snow......but much as I like snow, it needn't bother itself.

Today I have a card to share that I made for my daughter's boyfriend's 18th birthday.....it's not until the next week but he's in the army and he came home this weekend to celebrate with his family so I know he has seen it already.

I won this cute little digi image from Meljen's Designs last year. He's called 'Monkey Toes' and he's a dream to colour..... I coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from BasicGrey 'Granola'. The stars are from a Nestie set that I've had for ages but shamefully have never used before. The pearls as always are from The Hobby House and the sentiment is from LOTV.

HAVE A GREAT 18th BIRTHDAY.

(He's such a lovely young man)....I won't embarrass him further as although I know he doesn't look at my blog I do know that my daughter will tell him I've put his card on here.

Spritz, Spray, Stencil....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Today I want to share another little page from my small journal.....I did this page quite a while ago but I don't think I ever got round to putting it here on my blog.

I picked this little book up last year when I spent a craft day at Art From The Heart with the fabulously talented Kate Crane.

One of Kate's great tips when spritzing, spraying (and generally making a mess in my case) was to use the pages of this little book to mop up any spills and left over inks or paints which you have on your craft mat......in doing so creating another page to create on.

Here was one of my mopping up pages.....

As you can see I had rather a large spill.....Whoops!!!.....but me being me couldn't resist making sure I used every last drop to fill up the gaps.....I then added a leaf stencil and contrasting ink spray to create this effect......

I'm not sure what I'm going to put on this page yet but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely day.

Playing With Paints....

Good afternoon everyone.

What a fabulous Spring~like day it is here......

Beautiful sunshine, clear skies.....a bit chilly but we've had a lovely walk to the park with the dogs and the park was really busy.....people taking advantage of this lovely, unexpected weather.

Today I'd like to share another page of a journal I'm making.....

I've been watching my new Kate Crane DVD's and thought I would try a bit of painting and stencilling......very messy but I'm really thrilled with the results.

I never thought I would love getting all messy, with paint and inks everywhere but I do!!!!!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this journal but I have an idea that it may be coming on holiday with me......

So watch this space......

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a great day.

Polly Will Be Proud.....Again!!!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Back in January I made yet another promise to myself that this year I would try and keep up with Kate Crane's 365 Calendar Journal.....well I'm a little late but here are my February pages.

I thought I would go for a pink theme this month. The papers and stamps where from Art From The Heart....I picked them up years ago at a craft show and they've never seen the light of day....well the stamps have once for a scrap book page I did way back. This photo isn't very good as the pinks are more vibrant than this.

All in all I'm really pleased with my February pages, I just have to fill them in now and think about what colours to go with in March.....maybe a green......!!!!!

I am adding my February journal pages to Kate Crane's 365 Journal Challenge.

Look Polly....I did it again!!!!

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely Saturday.

My Lovely Valentine

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I know I'm a bit late with this but I want to share this card that I made for my wonderful boyfriend for Valentine's Day.

It has become a bit of a tradition to make a card for him with an 'Edwin' image on as I think they are rather alike.

The papers are actually Christmas papers from Papermania 'Home For Christmas'. I think they worked quite well. I have coloured using Promarkers and added Stickles to the heart shaped balloon. The sentiment was created using my Dymo....what a great gadget this is!!! The pearls are from The Hobby House and the heart die is from Marianne Creatables.

And look what I got for Valentine's Day......

A DOZEN RED ROSES

How lucky am I!!!!

Thank you for stopping by.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Santa Number Three....Done!!!!!

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

First I would like to 'Thank' everyone for their lovely comments after the loss of my beautiful puss cat 'Onion'....you are all so kind and your comments really mean such a lot.

At the start of the year I made a promise to myself to complete as many of my UFO's as I could....and here is another completed beaded/cross stitched Santa Christmas tree decoration to go with the other two I finished.

Here are the other two....

I found two more hiding in a drawer and I know there is a sixth one......somewhere!!!!

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely evening.

Onion....

Good afternoon everyone.

I just wanted to pop by to say sorry for being absent for the last couple of weeks.

Due to one thing and another I haven't been able to or felt much like crafting.

I am still struggling with a painful neck and shoulder and last week my beautiful, cuddly although you were lucky to be graced with a cuddle (I own you, you don't own me) cat 'Onion' passed away after a short illness.....and yes her sister my other cat is called 'Pickle'.

After a visit to the vets she passed away in her sleep, curled up alongside her best friend Bertie (my Westie).

'Onion'

Asleep in a hanging basket before I managed to plant it up.
(Here's one I grew earlier).

Taking a nap in the sunshine.
(Just love your huge tiger paws)

Sat in one of her favourite spots.....plant pots.
No wonder nothing ever grew in there.

We will all miss her very much.....especially me who had many a one~sided conversation with her, she knew everything.....

I promise to be back as soon as I find out where my Mojo is!!!!!
