Shawl Knitting......

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I started learning to knit last year.....I could cast on and off and knit and purl, beyond that I was lost but since I started going to a class I have wanted to knit myself a shawl.....not any old shawl no.....not me.....I decided it had to be a lacy number.

So I have taken the plunge and bought a rather lovely pattern book and some beautiful wool and I have made a start....knowing full well that if I run into trouble the ladies at the lovely shop where I go will bale me out.....And believe me.....I think I will need a bit of baling now and again.

Wish me luck......

This is my first new start of the year too.....Apart from the blanket KAL I am taking part in.

I have managed to stick to my New Year's Resolution of no new starts fairly well don't you think.....but I think September is long enough not to have anything new to tackle and I have finished a few projects this year.....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Eye On The Target....

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

About a year or so ago my daughter and I decided to take up archery.

We joined a local club and although we try to go as often as we can we do end up missing some sessions for one reason or another.....but we love it and last week I decided it was about time we had our own arrows made.

These are my beautiful new arrows.....

And I treated myself to a new bag too.

Will these make me better at hitting the target....time will tell.....

I also treated my daughter to her own arrows and a bag but we agreed that these would be part of her Christmas present this year.....Yes I know I said the 'Christmas' word......

She chose purple as her main colour.....surprise, surprise.

This has always been her colour of choice, even as a little girl. All the other girls wanted pink.....not my little madam....it always had to be purple.

Anyway we were all set to give our lovely new arrows a run out at the weekend and guess what.....

It rained and it rained and it rained......so archery was cancelled.

Oh well we'll try again next week.....I hope!......

Bullet Journal & My Washi Tape Problem.....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I'm still trying to shake this awful cold....two weeks and my nose is still running and I still have a sore throat but I'm sure it will pass soon......I hope!...

A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to a lovely new journal so that I could get back to 'Bullet Journalling'.....I started this a few years ago but gradually lost momentum and interest.....but now my mojo has been inspired to have another go....

And you can't start a new journal without brand spanking new pens can you?....

And 'Washi Tape'

Now here lies the problem....I started to search in all the drawers, boxes, crafty stash etc.....for said 'Washi Tapes'.....and I found some.....

Well lots if I'm honest....

But I like it....I use it....and I can't resist buying it.

I have added to my 'Washi Tape' stash lately and I know I will continue to add more....

Oh Dear....Do you think I have a problem here?.....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Needle Minder Exchange

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Today is Reveal Day for the Needle Minder Exchange organised by the very lovely Ingrid over at Mii Stitch.

The idea was to send a needle minder, a small stitched gift and a skein of DMC floss.

So here I can now share the lovely gifts I received from LeShawn at Boutique Stitches.

Not one, not two but three beautiful needle minders....

A lovely cross stitched piece, two beautiful skeins of thread and a packet of my favourite jelly teddies...

Thank you LeShawn for spoiling me so much....I love my new needle minders.

And 'Thank You' Ingrid for organising such a wonderful exchange.

My parcel is whinging it's way to Australia to Kaye and I'm hoping it has arrived safely by now.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

The Cleethorpes Colour Run 2017...

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

So despite having a dreadful cold for the last three days I was determined to take part in this year's

COLOUR RUN....

I had quite a few sponsors so I couldn't drop out could I......and I didn't want to let anyone down....

Having dosed myself up to the 'max' with well known brands of cold and flu remedies I was ready to run....well walk at a reasonable pace anyway.

My lovely husband ran/walked with me and we finished in good time...

By the look on his face I'm not quite sure he knew what he had let himself in for but it didn't take him long to work it out.

Brogan runs with me normally but she is away at a band competition today so Mr T. stepped in!....

Graduation Day....A Very Proud Mum.

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Yesterday was a very special day for us.

My beautiful daughter graduated from Lincoln University and the ceremony was in the stunning setting of Lincoln Cathedral.

What an incredible experience for us all, especially Brogan and something we shall never forget.

The preparations took place in the grounds of Lincoln Castle.

One very proud mum and an equally proud step-dad.....

(Yes I did think of wearing a dress but it was just a bit too cool for me and yes it poured with rain)

A rather soggy but very happy looking graduate pictured outside the cathedral.

Inside Lincoln Cathedral...a truly stunning setting.

All very pomp and circumstance.

The Lincoln University 'Graduation' Knight.

We all had a fabulous day and I am one incredibly proud mum.

Well Done Brogan.

We all love you very much.

Blogging Break Over....

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I decided to have a blogging break as I didn't seem to be getting any time to myself lately and I wasn't sure if anyone was really interested in what I was blogging about....

I know I have my faithful followers and commenter's and I 'Thank You' so much to those of you who have stuck with me in my blogging drought....but hopefully I can now come back and have something to share and things to blog about.

Over the last month I have been busy with 'Yes' work but I have managed to reach my Goodreads 2017 goal of 24 books....I am now on book 26....

This month I have knitted all four squares for my KAL at A Good Yarn.....I still have to catch up with a few of the other month's but on the whole I'm doing fine.....

I have also completed another small cross stitched project.....

This bookmark is now winging it's way to it's new owner in a small parcel as part of Mii's Needle Minder Exchange.....I have received part of my exchange parcel but will reveal my goodies at a later date....

We have completed Brogan's bedroom... just the blinds to be fitted and a new windowsill.

(Photos to follow)....

We are now on with the living room and Gareth is on with the building of his 'Sulking Room'....sorry sorry.....'Office' at the bottom of the garden.....not before he's completed the building work for the new wood burner though......

So as you can see I have been a tad busy lately......

I've also started a new bullet journal......to try and keep things a little more organised....Ha Ha!!!...

Watch this space.....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.
