A Weekend With A Difference....

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

A few weeks ago we went to Whitby....just for the weekend. As many of my blogging friends know Whitby is one of my favourite places and we we're even engaged there in May.

We normally stay in the caravan but it was unavailable the weekend we wanted to go so as an alternative and by way of a change we decided to book a room in a hotel that I had heard about and we often walk past when we're pottering about....in Whitby.

The La Rosa Hotel....a themed hotel boasting Victorian Seaside Fun....

Well we had a wonderful time and our hotel was very different to say the least....but very enjoyable...

Our room was called The Saloon....

(this was the only room left in the hotel as there was a wedding party and I'm afraid to say that this would have been my last choice of room as I can't abide western/cowboy themes/films at the best of times but never mind beggars can't be choosers and our weekend away was a bonus)....

Anyway we had a lovely time and I would definitely use the hotel again but maybe a different room....maybe The Bram Stoker room......

This is our room....The Saloon Room....

(not sure about the ?buffalo skull above the bed but Heyho!!!) in for a penny in for a pound!!!

(Excuse the mess)

The Bathroom
(Now check out that bath)....it was fabulous...

And breakfast was delivered in a picnic hamper...and was delicious.

It was all very different and unusual but a great experience which we will do again....soon.....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

A Card....At Last!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

It's been quite a while since my last post but the house is nearing completion and my craft room is open for business....if only I could find the floor.....

Never again will we take on a full renovation of a house and never again will we try and merge two houses into one.....Never, never, never......

But we are nearly finished.....yeah!!!

A few weeks ago while I was at my local WI meeting one of the ladies asked me if I would make her a card for her brother and sister-in-law for their Golden Wedding......yes I said....of course I will!!!!

I am so out of practise and it took me ages to get round to making the said card.....but here is the result.

I hope they liked it.

I stuck to an old and faithful design and kept it relatively simple.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
