SAILING AWAY

Evening everyone....well they tell me its been a lovely day here weather wise but I've been at work for 10 hours so I've missed it....never mind only two more days to work this week and two days next week and then I'm on leave for a week.

Today I have a card to share that I made using one of my new House Mouse stamps....

I followed this sketch from Basic Grey Challenges....

The papers are Euphoria from Basic Grey and the image is from Joanna Sheen...Birthdays...Cake. He has been coloured with Promarkers. I have used a Nestie and a Martha Stewart border punch. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

HOLLY HEDGEHOG

Today I have another Christmas card to share....my third one of the year so far....brilliant for me as I normally leave it until the very last minute.

The image is called A Thorny Affair by Penny Black. I love all the Penny Black characters....be they mice, hedgehogs or bunnies.

I followed this sketch from A Gem of A Challenge....

The papers are Papermania....A Classic Christmas and the card is Bazzil Basics, the bottom panel of red card has been embossed with snowflakes. I coloured the image with Promarkers. The sentiment is from LOTV and I just added a few bits of card candy from Craftwork Cards and some Stickles to the berries.

UNDER THE WEATHER DONALD

Morning everyone, the suns shining here today....and hopefully it will last. I've still got a headache but thankfully its not as bad as it was.

Today I have a card to share that I made just because I had the time....and I think my choice of subject was possibly due to the fact that I was feeling a little sorry for myself after having this horrible headache all week. Anyway hopefully the bright weather will make me feel better....So enough moaning and onto the card.

The image is called Donald and he's a Sugar Nellie stamp....poor Donald, I think he looks quite sad. The papers are from October Afternoon and are called Ducks in a Row. I coloured him using Promarkers. I have punched the flowers with Woodware punches and quilled the flower centres and added some Stickles. The pearls are from the Hobby House and I added two little black pearls for his eyes. The sentiment is computer generated.

I have followed this sketch from Sketch N Stash Challenge

STRAWBERRY MOLLY

Morning all....first I must apologise for being a 'bad' blogger and not visiting you all and leaving comments, I promise I will try to catch up this weekend.

I have been so busy over the last few weeks and this week I've been suffering with a serious of horrible headaches so I haven't been very creative and have had trouble in the inspiration department....but I have managed to make a card, although it didn't turn out quite as I planned.

I have used a Molly Bloom stamp....love these stamps. I have coloured her using Promarkers and I was quite pleased with how she turned out as I'm rubbish when it comes to blending reds. The papers are from various Basic Grey paper pads. I've used one of my Nesties and a Martha Stewart border punch and the gems, pearls and brads are from the Hobby House.

A PRICKLY AFFAIR

Evening everyone....I'm struggling to make cards at the moment as I'm so busy with other things but I have managed to make my 2nd Christmas card....

The image is a stamp that I picked up at a craft show a couple of years ago called 'Beware of Holly'. I thought it was quite amusing and it made me chuckle....

I've tried to keep it very simple by just using Bazzil card. I embossed the white card with spots and snowflakes using my Cuttlebug and used an old Fiskars holly border punch to edge some green card, then added some co~ordinating pearls and some red Stickles to the berries on the poor old sheep.

LUCKY~ LUCKY~ LUCKY

Good morning everyone....it looks as though its going to be a lovely day after all the rain we had here yesterday....

Today I'd like to say 'Hello and Welcome' to my new followers....Thank you ladies and thank you to all my wonderful followers who leave me such lovely kind comments.

I've had a lovely week and can't believe I've been so lucky. First of all I received this lovely Blog Candy through the post from Angela, which I'd won last week....its fabulous and so many beautiful goodies to play with....Thank you so much Angela.

Then I received my first ever blog award from Claire who has a lovely blog herself and lives in Portugal. Thanks for thinking of me Claire I'll put it on my blog....and my 'blog and I'  will wear it with pride.

I also had to pop to the post office to pick up a parcel and I'd won some stamps in a Craft Stamper magazine give~away and finally last night I got a text from Lynn who owns one of my local craft shops to say I'd won the craft lotto bonus ball £50 voucher this week.....I'm absolutely thrilled to bits...what a lovely, lucky week....and I used to say 'I never win anything'.

And finally on to some crafting....Here are three pages that I managed to complete....I'm on a roll, although I think its down to the fact that we now only do one page at my scrapbook class instead of two which I think is great....but you can do a mirror page if you want to.

The photos here are from when my daughter was Confirmed last year....the picture at the top was taken when they all tried....'How many people can you fit in the confessional box?'. Thankfully I think the bishop was rather amused.

The photos on this next page were taken as Brogan was getting ready for her Prom....the first one that is!!!!
Her friend Emily was helping her out....I can't tell you how loud these two are together but its lovely to hear so much laughter.

And finally this is yesterday's page....all completed. These photos were taken of Brogan last year at Doddington Hall. As you can see she tends to be the subject of most of my page layouts.

Thank you to Tracey who always comes up with these lovely scrapbook page layouts for our class.

If you've managed to stay with me this far....Thank you for looking.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday....

LITTLE BIRDIE

Evening everyone. What a change in the weather again today....it was lovely and sunny yesterday, my day off but today its turned cold and horrible....glad I was at work (did I say that!!!)....got the better day off me thinks....

Today I want to share a card that I made using a Magenta stamp that I bought a few years ago....used it once and then put it back on the shelf gathering dust....shame on me!!!...

This is also my first attempt at paper piecing....hope I've done it right. The papers are First Edition...Up,Up and Away and I've used Promarkers to colour. The roses are from The Hobby House. I've added some pearls and some buttons to the flowers and a few punched leaves to finish off.

TATTY'S SUNFLOWER

I bought a new Tatty Button stamp a few weeks ago and I actually inked her up and then promptly left her all naked of colour on my craft table....poor Tatty!!!!

Anyway last night I got round to colouring her and this was the end result....

I followed this sketch from the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge:~

The papers are My Mind's Eye ~ Bloom and Grow. I coloured the image with Promarkers. The Nestie is a new one I bought at the Stamp Magic show at Doncaster last month and I'm ashamed to say it was still in its packet and even worse....still in my carrier bag, along with a few other bits and pieces that I bought...!!!

A NEW ADDITION

Today I have a card to share that I made just because I've had this stamp lying about on my work desk for weeks and thought it was about time I inked him up....no new babies lately so I haven't had a need for a 'New Baby' card...

The papers I have used are fast becoming one of my favourites and are from Craft Creations Ltd...I can't buy just one sheet of these papers and find myself picking up two or three sheets at a time.....well I might 'Need' them.

The image is from Fizzy Moon....Wish Upon A Star. I have coloured him with Promarkers and used a Martha Stewart border punch and a Nestie. The little pink stars are from my stash and I've added some Stickles to the star he is holding.

PROM NIGHT

I've just finished this scrapbook page....and I'm almost up to speed on completing pages I've started....I promised myself that I would try to keep up with the pages that I start at Running With Scissors at the Saturday morning scrapbook class I go to....(and not put them on the 'To Finish' pile when I get home).

The little tab lifts up to reveal another photograph of my daughter but its just a close up of the one on the front page. These photographs were taken as she was leaving for her prom last Friday evening. My little girl all grown up....where do the years go?....

Thank you Tracey for the lovely design you created for this page.

Thank you for looking.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

First of all today I'd like to say a huge Thank You and a Very Warm Welcome to all my new followers.

Well I can't believe I've made my first Christmas card....and its only July. I usually leave it until the very last minute then end up making lots of cards all of the same design to make it quicker and my life easier...then I run out of time and end up having to go and buy some cards anyway.....well not this year!!!.

I tried to keep this card as simple as possible as I thought the image was quite busy. I've had this stamp for years and I just love it. It is a Great Impressions image....how cute are these little mice.....

I've coloured using Distress Inks...the paper is from my stash. I've added a few gems, some snowflakes and lots of Stickles to give the snow some sparkle.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:-

GOTTA HOLD OF MY HEART

I absolutely love all the Molly Bloom stamps and I particularly like this one...

I have followed the sketch over on A Gem Of A Challenge.

I've only recently started entering challenges that use a sketch and I'm really enjoying it....I've always done my own thing so this is a bit of a change for me.

The image is obviously a Molly Blooms stamp and the papers are a mixture of Basic Grey and Craft Creations Ltd. I coloured her with Promarkers and used a Martha Stewart border punch and one of my Nesties. I've added a crochet flower and a velvet brad from my stash box...had these forever and never got round to using them. The leaf punch is from McGill ...another of my favourites, I've just finished off with some ribbon and some Stickles to the heart.

PROM CARD

Today I'd like to share a card that I made for my daughter for her prom...this is the first prom, she is having another prom in a fortnight....two proms because as she was going into year 11 at her old school they closed the school down and moved all the pupils to another school....quite upsetting for their last year but they have decided to still have the prom for the old school....and a bit of a reunion....hence two proms, one for each school.

I decided to have another go at an easel card and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
I managed to find the same shade of green as her dress. The image is a Whiff of Joy stamp called Willow With Champagne....which was perfect for this card. The papers are a mixture from my scraps box. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and some Nestability dies. I've then finished off with gems, Stickles, a couple of pins and some punched dragonflies.

Sorry the photos aren't great. Hope to post a few pictures of her in her dress tomorrow.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

OOH LA LA...

Today I have two more scrapbook pages to show....I think I'm on a roll with trying to finish things off, but I still have a stack of stuff to tackle yet....

These photos as you can see I've had for ages as they were taken on my daughter's school trip to Paris in 2008...she always manages to take great photos and always looks good in photos herself where as I hate having my picture taken and always end up pulling my face.

The pages were again designed by Tracey for one of my scrapbook classes at Running With Scissors.

I would also like to show a piece of cross stitch that I have almost finished....I've had this on the frame for months.

Its almost finished apart from the outlining and I decided to add a few beads to the berries and the centres of the Christmas roses....not sure if their visible in this photo. I hope to get this framed so we can put it up over Christmas.

Thank you for looking.
