January Journal....Late..Late..Late!!!

Evening everyone....Hope you are all well.

I've had a busy week so far and not much time for card making or scrap booking but I did finish this journal page at the weekend. I missed the January link up for Kate Cranes 366 art calender over at The Kathryn Wheel but I'm already working on my February page.....

A few weeks ago I spent a lovely evening at my friend Polly's along with Sandra and Jacqui crafting and getting inky. Polly had already created her January journal page and I got very inky creating mine....I wanted my January page to have a wintery feel but after inking and spritzing it was definitely lending itself more towards a sea theme.....so that's how it turned out.

This photo was taken before I added any writing to the journal.

Thanks for stopping by.

Scrap Book Mad!!!!

Morning everyone......Well its freezing this morning but none of the promised snow yet.....I don't tend to bother with the weather forecasts any more.....I tend to stick to 'If you want to know what the weather's like....Look out of the window!!!'

Today I have yet another finished scrap book page to share...

As always this is a page that was designed and taught by the 'Oh So Talented' Polly at the class I attend on a Thursday evening at my local craft shop. I love these papers and the colours.

The photo is of my grandparents taken at their home in Lancashire in 1965.....check out the haircuts and the fashion!!!

I remember my Nan saying that before these photos were taken....(they had a bit of a photo shoot from what I gather) she went out and bought plastic Daffodils and Tulips to stick around the garden, her theory being that as the photos would be in black and white no-one would know the difference....

'Thats My Nan' xx

My Way ~ ATC's

Good afternoon everyone.....well I have a good excuse to stay indoors today....It's freezing outside and we woke to a light covering of snow.....so I plan a few hours in my craft room.

Today I have my January ATC's to share. These are for the swap over at Ali's ATC Swap~Stop!....This month the theme was 'My Way'....this was to create an ATC in what we felt was our 'Signature' style. I'm not that sure what my 'Style' actually is so I decided to choose things I like....

The colours yellow and green....Floral papers....Butterflies....Gems and Pearls and Flowers.

And this is what I came up with....

Not my best creation but I have managed to stick to my own personal challenge this year of trying to create my ATC's from all my leftover scraps, bits and pieces.

There still aren't many of us taking part in the swap so if you would like to join us just pop over to Ali's ATC Swap~Stop to see what its all about.

Thank you for stopping by.

Told You I Was On A Roll.....

Evening everyone....I can't believe how cold it was when I was walking home from work this evening...and I was so pleased to get home after a very long shift I can tell you.....

Well as I said I'm on a roll when it comes to finishing things off at the moment and here is yet another completed scrapbook page.

This is another page taught by Polly at the class I attend at my local craft shop. This photo was taken for our local paper quite a few years ago. Brogan had been picked to be a model for the day which was a weekly feature. She was allowed to pick 3 outfits for the little photo shoot. I didn't think she was going to perform.....but perform she did.....and she was given one of the outfits as a gift and I ended up buying the other two outfits.

Thank you for stopping by.

Surprise...Surprise...

Good evening everyone....I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend.

I have had a lovely week this last week considering the month started out badly....I was lucky enough to win a beautiful image from Teddy Bo this week in their Blog Hop and on Saturday my card won first prize in The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge and I won 5 images from Robyn's Fetish.

Then yesterday while I was shopping I picked up a copy of Simply Homemade magazine and later as I was browsing through over a cup of tea I spied on their Into The Blogosphere page (for inspirational blogs) my blog banner....first I was amazed to see it there and then delighted....can't imagine how it got there but there it is..................I'm thrilled to think that anyone would ever think my little space in Blogland was 'inspirational'.

Today I also have another finished scrapbook page....I'm on a roll with this finishing projects off thing.

Yes I know....its another photo of my daughter at her prom last year but this does happen to be my favourite photo. The page again was created and taught by the very talented Polly. This page has too many embellishments to put in a scrapbook so I'm going to put it in a box frame.

Thank you for stopping by.
