Searching For The Whales....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Here I am again catching up with some of the things I was doing during my Summertime blogging break.

As ever we spent some time in my favourite place Whitby....and this time we thought we would take a trip out for a spot of Whale Watching....and we weren't disappointed.

It was a beautiful afternoon, slightly chillier out to sea but well worth the trip.

My Faithful Shipmates On This Adventure

My Best Friend...

And My Best Girl

We were very lucky and were able to spot at least four different Minke Whales and we were able to follow them as they chased shoals of  fish. It was a great afternoon and such a thrill to see such wonderful animals in their own habitat....

It is such a treat to see and so exciting when the shout of 'Whale' goes up. I have a few photos of the whales but missed taking photos of them half the time as I was a) to slow with the camera or b) just totally in awe of them. Brogan's photos are far better than mine.

It was also lovely to see my beloved Whitby from another angle as we sailed back into harbour in the early evening sunshine.

What a fabulous treat and I would certainly recommend the trip to anyone.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy your evening.

Friday Night With Friends....Catch Up!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

So as it seems to be the 'norm' lately for me I'm late to the party once again....

I'm not quite sure where my time is going....

On Friday I decided to join in with like minded crafter's from around the world who join together (virtually) that is.....on the first Friday of the month to do a spot of knitting, sewing, crocheting etc....whatever craft you like....

Thank you to Cheryll for hosting this fabulous get together.

It's been a while since I joined in but I'm determined to keep up this time....even making a note in my diary!!!

Well I decided to continue adding stitches to my Nora Corbett...

The Holly Fairy

Not a great deal of progress but at least I have almost finished the skirt now...I love all the shades of green....feeling just a tad inspired to get her finished now....

I'm pleased I managed to find the time to join in this month...I will definitely be taking part again next month.....the dates already in my diary.

So now I can spend a bit of time having a look at what everyone else was doing.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

The Holly Fairy....Again!!!

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are well.

Ok...so you can tell that the weather is beginning to get a little cooler....because I have started to pick up my cross stitch of an evening....Thank goodness for my magnifying light!!!.....or else I wouldn't see a thing....

The Holly Fairy

This was as far as I managed up to March 2016. I know...I know.....I'm officially rubbish. I can't believe I haven't even put one stitch in since then but I am determined to finish this piece of work no matter what....

I will keep you posted...

The Colour Run...

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well and that you've had a lovely weekend.

So here I continue with my catch up on what I was doing during my little summer blogging break....

We did

The Colour Run

Well when I say we, I mean Miss B and yours truly!!!

We had a great time and I did run.....for the first few minutes until we were out of the gates anyway....I can't even run for a bus anymore.....the joints and muscles won't let me.....my ankles crack, my knees crunch and my calves burn but I do walk rather quickly.....

It was a lot of fun as long as the coloured starch doesn't get up your nose and you keep your mouth firmly closed when you run through each colour station....easier said than done when your laughing your head off at everyone else!!!

We will definitely do it again next year and maybe we'll run a bit more and probably get some sponsors organised and do it for charity.

So pleased we didn't have to come home in our own cars though....my lovely partner brought us home in his.....that stuff gets everywhere....sorry Darling but do you know our clothes and trainers washed perfectly clean again....bonus!!!....not sure about his van seats though!!!....Whoops.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Searching For Lost Patterns....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I started to have a clear out during the summer in my craftroom and I came to realise that during our move last year I seem to have lost/misplaced/thrown away a pile of much wanted and 'On My To Do List' patterns which were I thought safely tucked inside a little plastic folder....be they cross stitch, knitting or crochet.

I thought they were safely popped away during the move.....but can I find them....

'No' is the answer....

Did I give them away by mistake....'Who knows'....what I do know is that I can't find them and I'm just a bit upset about it.

So I am wondering if there is anyone out there who might be able to help.....

I know it's very cheeky of me but I would be happy to pay for any costs incurred in my search.

The patterns that I have lost are:-

I know these as I write them down in a book.....organised or what!!!!

Sadly not as I wouldn't have lost them......

March Hare - Cross Stitch Collection Magazine - Issue 195 - Designer Lesley Teare

Cushion Pattern - Simply Crochet Magazine - Issue 18

Cheeky Chickens - The World Of Cross Stitching Magazine - Issue 214 - Designer Madeleine Floyd

Peter Rabbit - Cross Stitch Crazy Magazine - Issue 201

Green Apple Cross Stitch Books -

The Tailor Of Gloucester - No. 540

Jeremy Fisher - No.

The Tale Of Peter Rabbit - No. 549

I would be so grateful if anyone is able to help in any way.....even to give me an idea as to where I can source them would be great or if the magazines/books are still available to buy.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

New Hobbies....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

So to continue with my catch up on what I have been doing during my little summer blogging break....

I took up a new hobby with my daughter Brogan...

Archery....

and I love it....

I have always wanted to do this but with a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia two years ago and a bulging disc and nerve compression in my neck and arms last year I thought the chance had passed me by...but apparently not. It turns out that I can use this fabulous hobby to rebuild my neck muscles and strengthen my arms...and it is working and I love it. Light bow, short distances and wonderful club coaches and away I go...

And it is also twice as nice as I get to do this with my beautiful daughter Brogan....

I'm really enjoying it. We have only just started a few months ago so it is all very new to us and we have a lot to learn but I think it is helping with my neck problems which is a huge plus as far as I can see.

As you can see...still not much crafting but I'm sure I'll get round to some as the evenings start to draw in.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

My Birthday Girl All Grown Up At 21....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I thought for the next few weeks I would try to do some posts to catch up on what I have been doing over the last few months.....

So to start off during my summertime blogging break my daughter celebrated her 21st birthday.

Where did the time go......!!!

This is my lovely girl cutting her cake...

And this is the card I made for her...not my best as I'm so out of practise....the colours were far too bright but she loved it all the same.

And here is a photo of the actual cake....

Her perfect cake.

She just loves her shoes...and 'yes' she does have a pair of Jimmy Choos which she received as an 18th birthday present. For this birthday she wanted a bike so we bought her a very smart willow green coloured Pashley...which I have to say is rather beautiful just to look at let alone ride.

Happy Birthday Brogan.

We Love You All The Way To The Moon And Back....
