Knitting Dishcloths....

Good afternoon everyone.
I hope you are all well.

Goodness....what a blustery week that was!.....

So here is my weekly check in....

This week has seen me having yet another cold......but thankfully things are beginning to improve now....it has meant the weight loss plan has taken a back seat....but I haven't gained or lost any weight so that's not too bad......

And the crafting has been slow.....

I did manage to knit and finish another hat.....which I'm quite thrilled about.

This matches a scarf I picked up in the sale a few weeks ago....

While feeling unwell this week I kept my knitting very simple and resorted to knitting a dishcloth but I think as the colour matches my bathroom rather well I'm going to use it as a flannel....

I bought this lovely book last year from The Whitby Book Shop.....on one of our very many trips to my 'Happy Place'.....Whitby/Sandsend.

I have already started another cloth in a different colour as I seemed to enjoy the relaxing, repetitive pattern while not having to think too much.....

No books read this week as I really couldn't be bothered with reading to be honest.....which is not like me....! So the 10 books read in my 26 in 2019 Goodreads Challenge stands still.....maybe I'll pick a book up next week.....

I did buy more sock yarn though.....

But don't tell anyone.....

Isn't this yarn gorgeous.....

Finally I decided to start another Little Sheep Virtue cross stitch but there isn't anything to share as of yet but it's all ready to go....

So that's it for this week......

I will check in next Sunday....

Until then have a lovely week.

Keep safe....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Busy Doing Nothing....

Good afternoon everyone.
I hope you are all well.

Once  again there hasn't been a lot of progress on the crafting front this week....and 'NO' weight loss either.

I really will just have to rectify that over the next week.....

To be fair I have had a week off work....not that that should be an excuse.

And a day out with my parents and niece in Horncastle....plus meal out and a day out with my daughter at Helmswell Cliff Antique Centre....plus lunch out haven't helped the weight loss me thinks. Never mind I will have to be a little more careful next week and get back on track....

Tuesday evening we went to see 'The Stranglers'.....at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe....

I loved it as usual....nothing like hearing 'Golden Brown' live or live bands for that matter.

I did manage to read another book....

This was from the library in our village....it was ok but I don't think I'll be reading the rest of the books in this series any time soon to be truthful.

This is book No.10 read towards my 26 in 2019 Goodreads Challenge.....

More 'Happy Mail'

(Poor Photo-Sorry...)

Isn't it lovely when your new mug and bullet journal co-ordinate with your lovely new sock yarns.

I did receive another book and yet more sock yarn too this week....

Perfect matches once again.....

This is not intentional....honest!!!

As I had a little spare time......don't tell anyone!!!....

I did manage to watch these two films.....

I have read both of these books and I loved the films too.....that doesn't always happen now does it.

I did do a little sewing and a bit of knitting but nothing I can really share here at the moment.

I have enjoyed my week off work but I don't actually feel that I have done that much.....yes I did have a hot stone massage, my eyebrows attended to and a pedicure and I have spent some lovely days out with my family but I haven't done anything in the house apart from throw the hoover round which is so not like me.....so on that note 'yes' I have had a great week off work......

So there's not a lot  else to share again......

I will check in next Sunday....

Until then have a lovely week.

Keep safe....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Spring Plantings....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Not alot has been happening on the crafting front again over the last week....and 'NO' weight loss either. Never mind I will just have to rectify that over the coming week.....

Typically I've now got a week off work and I've missed the lovely weather....looking out of the window now it's raining and we are forecast a storm....'Freya'....no less.

Looking on the bright side it will soften the ground so I can plant this little lot up...

Spring Planting

Green fingered I'm not but I'm giving it a go.....

Mr T has almost completed my kitchen garden for me.....raised the existing beds, new fencing and gates etc....photos of before and after to follow shortly.....so I can try my hand at growing some fruit and vegetables.....this is a long term plan for me as this is one thing I would really like to do when I retire.....only four more years.....'Not that I'm counting you understand'....

I did manage to read another book though....

A very easy read which I didn't enjoy much to be honest.

'Very repetitive and not a lot of plot'.....

But I won't put a book down once I have started it so this is book No.9 read towards my 26 in 2019 Goodreads Challenge.....

Happy Mail This Week

Beautiful Yarn From Sherry Iris

I am saving these beauties for me for when I can knit a pair of socks properly and with some idea of what I am really doing.

They have fabulous names too......

Thoroughly Modern

&

Dowager Countess

From the Downtown Abbey collection......

So there's not much else to share this time around......

I will check in again next Sunday....

Until then have a lovely week.

Keep safe....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I hope you are all well.

Well it's been a busy week at work and there has only been slow progress on everything I've done so far....craft wise that is.

Valentine's Day brought a dozen red roses from my lovely husband....

And I invested in a little 'Herdy' money box to help me save for my yarn obsession....

Happily I have managed to lose another pound in weight....so that's eight pounds so far....I have updated my little weight loss tracker at the side of my blog....

No books finished this week but I'm three quarters of the way through this one...

I Knitted A Hat....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I'm late posting this week as we were away this weekend.

We went to see Peter Hook at the O2 Academy in Leeds on Saturday evening....and I had a fabulous time....what a great night....loved it!!!

And of course I managed to get home in perfect time to watch my beloved rugby....

Another cracking win from the boys in white....I have shouted myself hoarse.....

Anyway this week I have managed to lose yet another pound in weight....again not a great deal but it's another pound lost.... I have updated my little weight loss tracker at the side of my blog....that's a total of seven pounds lost so far.

I'm quite pleased with this as my will power is 'Poor' especially when it comes to cake and chocolate.

I have also read another book....that's now 6 books read towards my 26 in 2019 Goodreads Challenge...

I enjoyed this book although I was half way through before it picked up any pace but a good read all the same....

I have almost finished my 2nd stitching project of 2019...

Little House Needleworks - Little Sheep Virtue no. 4 - Courage

Hopefully I can finish this one this week....

And finally I have finished knitting my hat...

This is the first hat I have knitted and I'm really happy with it. It had tiny glass beads in the wool and they look really pretty....only you can't see them very well in this photograph....and the best thing is it fits me perfectly too.....I stole the fluffy bobble from one of my old hats.

Ok, so that's my catch up for another week....

I will check in again next Sunday....all being well.

Until then have a lovely week.

Keep safe and warm....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

I also went to a 'gig' (my husband said I have to say 'gig'....)...at The Adelphi in Hull on Monday evening....We saw Public Service Broadcasting....another new band on me....I have to say I did enjoy it but I wish these bands would come on stage earlier....so way passed my bedtime.....I know....'Get with it Grandma'.....

This is my second 'gig' of the year.....Ohhh get me....

We saw British Sea Power on New Year's Eve at Louth Town Hall....I have to say I do like British Sea Power.....but don't tell my husband as this is one of his favourite bands....
