So I promised myself that on Friday I would join in at
Friday Night With Friends
Friday evening found me joining in with like minded crafter's from around the world who join together (virtually) that is.....on the first Friday of the month to do a spot of knitting, sewing, crocheting etc....whatever craft you like....
Thank you to Cheryll for hosting this fabulous get together.
It's a good way of focusing the mind and believe me after everything that has happened in the last few months my mind needs focusing ~ Good things have happened I might add....like moving house and of course marrying my best friend.....(see previous posts)....
I also continued to knit another square for my other blanket....(to be revealed towards the end of the year) for the KAL I joined at my local knitting shop....
I continued to knit squares towards the blanket below....
I also decided to try and move on with this piece of cross stitch that really needs finishing....
I managed to do a few stitches but spent some time sorting through the silks I will need for it...it's so long since I started this project that I'd dipped into my stash when working on other things....
I also need to finish The Holly Fairy too....but she is almost complete now...
As you can see I have quite a few things to be getting on with but I haven't started anything new yet which was one of my New Year's Resolutions.....to finish all my on~going projects before starting a new project!!!!....So far so good.....

While we were away last week....Yes you guessed we spent our first week of married life in our favourite place....Whitby...
The weather wasn't great but we don't go for the weather....and anyway as Gareth always says...
'Theres no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing'....
I can't argue with that but it was a case of four seasons in one day most of the time....which allowed me some time to do a spot of colouring with the Distress Inks.....I am so out of practise but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it again....I think!!!
We had a lovely, modern apartment for a change, overlooking the sea and I managed to while away just a few hours of colouring....while watching the waves....
Here are a few of my very out of practise efforts...
I still have a way to go and lots of practise to get in but now things are beginning to settle down a bit after the house move and our wedding I may get a little more time to play....although most of my crafting supplies are still in storage and we are soon embarking on a major amount of building and decorating work.....oh well I'm sure things will slow down eventually!!!...

We had a perfect day, spent with lovely family and fabulous friends. Everything went well....no hitches....only the wind....it was very windy which made for some rather interesting shots....Marylin Manroe eat your heart out!!!

So It's Time For The Big Reveal....
The lovely Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose hosted the 10th Tea Cup & Mug Exchange and I joined in again....There were 212 ladies who participated and Stephanie did an amazing job of organisation.

I was thrilled with the lovely parcel that I received from Carol....my parcel came all the way from America....and was a delight to unwrap.

Spring 2017 Tea Cup Exchange
So many beautiful goodies in my parcel, a pretty teacup and saucer with such a lovely delicate pattern....there were a few other items besides the ones you can see enclosed in my parcel but I'd started to use them before I took my photograph....Easter Tree decorations and some lovely shelf edgings.....
Thank you Carol for such a lovely parcel of treasures.
I sent my parcel all the way to Canada to the lovely Judith of Lavender Cottage....I didn't manage to take a photograph before sending my parcel as I forgot in my rush to get it posted so it would arrive in time, but you can see what I sent if you pop over to Judith's lovely blog.
I'm afraid my head is a shed at the moment as I am getting married in 2 days time but I really didn't want to miss this exchange as it is such a lovely way to make new friends.

So finally I can reveal the reason for my lack of blogging and crafting lately....
I am getting 'Married'....next week...Friday 21st April....
Hence the reason for the push on my weight loss mission (see previous post)
I have had my mind on a million other things as you can imagine so very little crafting has been taking place....
Here are a few pictures of my 'Hen' do...which I had no intentions of having but am so pleased we did as we had a lovely day and the sun shone all afternoon.
We opted for a very civil 'ladies' that lunch affair and had afternoon tea for 22 of my friends, family and neighbours.

So my weight loss mission continues....
I have lost another 4 pounds....Yeah!!!!...
I'm nearly there....
I have increased my step count by 5000 steps a day and this seems to have given me the extra push forwards.....
There are just a few more pounds to go until I reach my target weight....this is the weight I set for myself....it has taken me almost 14 months but my aim was to take it slowly and keep the weight off.....
The reason for my determination on the weight loss is now only a few weeks away....and I am just a bit proud of myself.....24 pounds gone!!!!!.....
