A Gem Of A Challenge ~ # 64 ~ Holidays

Good morning everyone.

Well we only had a little of the threatened snowfall last night but it's certainly very cold out there......

It's time for a new challenge over at

A Gem Of A Challenge

And our theme this week is

HOLIDAYS
(Easter, Christmas, Summer)

Well I have to say I struggled with this one but went with an Easter theme and then challenged myself to making a card for a male/boy......not my best but I have promised myself to make at least one male card every month this year......Ummmm!!!!

Anyway here is my DT card

For my card I used this cute digi image from Pink Gem Designs called Josh With Easter Egg. I coloured him with Promarkers and then cut him out and mounted him on some Nestie Die~Cut mats. The papers, buttons and twine are from my stash.

Please pop along to the main challenge blog and take a peek at all the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:~

Crafty Catz ~ # 167 ~ Cute As A Button
4 Crafty Chicks ~ # 126 ~ Buttons
Papercraft Star ~ # 129 ~ Buttons

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely day.

Rock On....!!!

Good afternoon everyone.

Well we haven't had the predicted snow here but I may be eating my words.....!!!!

This is my second post today so please scroll down for my earlier post.

I can't believe it's two weeks since our last challenge over at

Chocolate, Coffee & Cards

so today we have a new challenge and our theme is

ROCK ON!
(we want to see music related cards)

And here is my DT card

We are sponsored by

With a choice of 3 digital stamps for our lucky winner.

For my card I used this fabulous image from Kenny K called Metal Babe. I coloured her with Promarkers and I'm really thrilled with how she turned out especially the shading of her hair as I seem to really struggle at times with hair colour. I mounted my image on an old CD that had come through the door and the papers are from my stash. The brads and spacers are from The Hobby House and I picked the charm up at a craft show last year. The treble clef die~cut is from Memory Box.....I think.

Please pop along to the main challenge blog and have a look at the rest of the DT's fabulous inspirational pieces.

And another UFO.....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well, safe and warm.

The snow is slowly disappearing here....Thank Goodness!!!!

Today I have another 'Unfinished Object' completed.....

This is a scissor keeper....

Its not a great picture but how on earth are you supposed to photograph something like this.....David Bailey I'm not!!!!

I bought the kit at the Harrogate Knitting And Stitching Fair.....started it, made a mistake and lost interest and put it away then decided to sort out the error and finish it......

I've attached it to my Hardanger scissors......which reminds me I have two pieces of Hardanger unfinished......somewhere..........!!!

I swapped the twisted cord  for a piece of ribbon because it would only have got knotted up with all my lose threads in my sewing box.......I know another job to do!!!!

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely evening.

Forgotten Christmas Makes....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well, safe and warm.

While I was putting away the Christmas decorations this year I decided to throw out any old, unwanted bits and pieces that lie in the bottom of the boxes never seeing the light of day from one Christmas to the next.....(well actually I gave them to my mum for the church jumble sale)....I came across these two tree ornaments that I made a few years ago and I'd forgotten about.

I bought these along with four other Santa's from a show in Harrogate quite a few years ago and I only ever managed to finish these two.....although these two still need ribbons attaching to their hats. They are cross~stitched Mill Hill beaded decorations stitched onto a paper canvas.

This year I have made it my aim to try and finish as many craft items that have been started and left on one side with the promise that I will come back to them and like many crafters never do!!!!

So I have found the other four Santa kits and some ribbon and we'll see what happens.......

Thank you for popping by.

Have a lovely day.

You Little Monkey

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Today I have another card to share.

I won this cute little digi image last year from Meljen's Designs and I have never got round to colouring him up. This image is called 'Monkey Toes' and I thought I would give him a nice bright sweater to keep him warm......it's really only this colour as I had the button lying about on my craft desk and thought it would be a good colour to use on his winter woolly. The papers are again from my scraps box. I coloured this cheeky little chap with Promarkers. The twine is from a local garden centre and the pearls as always are from The Hobby House.

Another of my crafty New Year's resolutions was to try and make at least one male card a month so here is starting as I mean to go on.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:~

Creative Corner ~ # 2 ~ Cute As A Button
Created With Love ~ # 24 ~ Critter Birthday
Kaboodle Doodles ~ # 154 ~ Buttons
Ooh La La Creations ~ # 121 ~ Happy Birthday

Thank you for stopping by.

Keep warm and snug.

Die~Cuts & Flowers

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well and keeping safe and warm.

Well it arrived.....the 'SNOW' I mean!!! Now I love it when it's all nice and fresh (and I'm inside all snug) but when it all gets messy and mushy.....that's another matter entirely......

Today we have a new challenge over at

Sparkles Monthly Challenges

Our theme this month is

DIE~CUTS & FLOWERS

and here is my DT card

This time around we are sponsored by

Di's Digi's

who are offering our lucky winner a $10 voucher.

Please pop along to the main challenge blog and have a look at the rest of the DT's creations and don't forget this is a multi~crafts challenge blog so you can make any type of craft project as long as you follow the theme.

For my card I used this lovely image from LOTV and I coloured using Promarkers. The papers are from my scraps box again.....I'm really proud of myself as this was one of my crafty 'New Years' resolutions to use up as much of my stash and scraps as I could without having to buy new bits and pieces.....so far I'm doing well but you want to see my wish list for new crafty stash.....

The flowers and brads are all from my stash box but were originally from The Hobby House. The stem die~cut is from Marianne Creatables....I think. I finished off by adding Stickles to the little fairy's wings.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:~
