BITS AND BOBS

Evening everyone.....

Today I have another card to share that I have finished. It is another card designed by Sue, and was one of the six cards that we made at the Christmas card workshop that I attended recently.

This card was the last card to be made and Sue designed it so we were able to use up all the scraps that we had left over from the previous five cards that she had taught us.

Its a very simple card but of course there is plenty of free space to add other embellishments if you wanted to be more creative. I have deliberately left this space as I didn't want to cover up the lovely papers. Thanks Sue....I think this is a really good idea for using up those little scraps of paper, especially as I hate to throw anything away.

Thank you for stopping by.

SNOWY DAY

Evening everyone....

Today I have another completed scrapbook page to share. This is another page taught by the very talented and creative Polly at my local craft shop.

This is a photo of myself and my daughter and was taken late last year when we were out walking the dogs in the woods. The snow had been quite heavy overnight and it was extremely cold and we were very wet after a spot of snowballing.

I haven't had very much to show in the way of cards lately but I have been trying to complete various projects that I have started and have left unfinished .....so I'm trying to finish things off and sort out my craft room at the moment. I do have cards that I have made but I can't show them at the minute as they are for various up and coming birthdays, weddings and anniversary's.

Thank you for stopping by.

VINTAGE SANTA

Morning everyone....well at last I've managed to set aside some time to just sit and play in my craft room. I have been so busy just lately that the days seem to slip by between posts....but I must confess to being one of those people who can say....and I'm sorry but ...."I've finished my Christmas shopping".

Don't get me wrong.....I absolutely love Christmas but I detest shopping unless of course its for crafty bits and pieces....so hopefully now I can spend a little more time creating and crafting.

Today I have a card to share that I made at a Christmas card workshop. We made six cards in total and the class was taught by Sue and was held at one of my local craft shops.

This is the first card of the six I have completed and as per usual for me I never seem to finish things at these workshops so end up bringing them home to finish....eventually. All the cards Sue designed and  taught us had different elements which you could easily recreate. I had a lovely day and came home with lots of ideas.....so 'Thank You' Sue.....

Thank you for stopping by.

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Hello everyone...

Today sees a new challenge over at CHRISTMAS CRAFTING! and this month the lovely Morgan has chosen the theme and it is the 'Twelve Days of Christmas'....so we would love to see you use this Christmas song to inspire your creations for this months challenge.

The sponsor for this months challenge is Robyn's Fetish and here is my card using one of their lovely images. The image I have used is called 'Gilded Christmas Dove'....and I used this image to represent the turtle doves in the song but as you can see I have only used the one dove where there should be two.....

I have coloured the image using gold and silver metallic Letraset markers and used Diamond Stickles to the body of the dove. I then cut out the image and mounted it on embossed card which I rubbed over with silver wax.

So please pop over to Christmas Crafting! and have a look at the lovely creations my team mates have come up with.....and we would love for you to join us in this months challenge.

Thank you for stopping by.

SPOOKED!

Morning everyone....Firstly I would like to say 'Hello and Welcome' to my new followers and secondly to apologise yet again for being such a rotten blogger lately.....My Mojo seems to have done a bit of a runner recently so I thought I would give myself a week off and see if the said Mojo decided to return....

Today I have some ATC's to share...

I have made these for the October swap over at ALI'S ATC SWAP-STOP where this months theme was SPOOKED!.

The papers are from my scraps box and the image which I have coloured with Promarkers is a stamp from a Penny Black set called ~ Be Very Scared. I have die cut the letters from a Tim Holtz Alterations die cut alphabet called ~ Upon a Time.

Thank you for stopping by.

CHRISTMAS CRACKER

Afternoon everyone....I hope you are all having a lovely, relaxing Sunday. Its very quiet here today as they are all at work and as all the house work is done I thought I'd spend a few hours in the craft room....well tidying it anyway....

I was having a clean around and realised that I hadn't shown this Christmas Cracker that I made last year for a competition....

Unfortunately the competition was cancelled but secretly I was quite pleased as I was a little reluctant to part with the cracker...you see we were going to put a little gift inside and swap them with the other entrants but I had grown attached to my cracker and am pleased I was able to keep it.....although to be truthful its just sat here gathering dust.

I followed the instructions from one of the Magnolia Ink magazines last year on how to make it and I really enjoyed myself. The papers are Bo Bunny and the image is a Gorguss stamp called Foxy from Sugar Nellie. I coloured the image with Distress Inks and then just embellished with ribbon, flowers, die cut snowflakes, brads, charms and pearls.

I have toyed with the idea of making one for each member of  the family to have on the table with a small gift in on Christmas Day but we shall have to see about that.....

Thank you for stopping by.
