ELO ~ Mr Blue Sky & Rainbows Over Wembley...

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I just wanted to pop by to share a few photos of my first trip to Wembley.....and definitely not for the football I hasten to add....I'm a rugby girl through and through as all my friends know and Twickenham is where my heart is!.....

We went to Wembley to see ELO and what a fabulous night we had....of course I was allowed to go shopping earlier in the day and this time round I opted for a trip to Covent Garden which was a delight as always.....

So here we are at Wembley....

Impressive....Yes but Twickenham is still the place for me....

View from our seats which were great....aisle seats so easy for the perfect view, dancing, getting the drinks and of course popping to the loo....which after a few ciders was greatly appreciated by me anyway.....well I am a woman of a certain age now you know.

Supporting Acts ~ The Shires

Tom Chaplin (Keane)

They were great and I knew the songs too....Get Me!....

ELO

The Stage ~ The Lighting ~ The Music

What a great show....truly spectacular.

The weather was warm and although there was the occasional light summer shower even I took off my cardigan.....and then there were.....

Rainbows Over Wembley

But then there was....

Mr Blue Sky

These two very sporting gentleman (I did get permission for the photo) were sat behind us and were incredibly game in these rather 'dapper' suits.

Well Done Guys.....

They were very popular with the photographers I might add....

It was a sheer joy to be at the concert and I sang my heart out....it's amazing how many songs you know the words to!!!....

What a great experience.....

Take care.....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

A Few More Knitted Squares...

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I haven't had a lot of time lately as I have been off doing other things but I have managed to complete another four more knitted squares towards my Simply Stylish Knitting Blanket....that's 24 squares so far....only another 60 or so to do....

I don't think I'll manage to catch up at the rate I'm going though but I'll keep trying.

I have also managed to read another couple of books towards my 2017 Good Reads Challenge...that's 20 books of the 24 I challenged myself to read this year....so that's good going as we're only half way through the year.....

Anyway I have a few little jobs to be getting on with this evening.

Take care.....

My Chelsea Flower Show 2017 ~ Part 2

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well and enjoying the fabulous weather....

I have to be honest this is far too hot for me and my least favourite season of the year.....but it is nice to see the sunshine....when I'm not at work that is!....

This post was supposed to follow on from the first part a few weeks ago but I'm afraid life gets in the way....

Anyway here are a few more photographs that I took while on our recent visit to....

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017

The filming goes on despite the hot weather....

The Queen Of Hearts

A very hot and bothered me....but very happy....

A Little Visitor...

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Just a short post....

We have a little visitor who passes through the garden every evening and I managed to get a quick photo....

Trying to hide behind the planter....I don't think so.....

A Stitching Finish......

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

At long last I have a 'small' cross stitching finish to share.....Yeah!!!....one down....and oh so many others to complete...I am still sticking to my 'New Years Resolution' - no new starts.....Yet!!!...

I have finally completed another beaded/cross stitched Santa Christmas tree decoration to go with the other four I finished ages ago....

Father Christmas - No. 5

And here he is with his finished companions...

Sorry about the poor photography....the lighting was just awful.

I have about seven more of these little men to complete but I know there are others in this series so I may be adding a few more to my stitching list......

For now I am so proud of myself that I have...'So Far'...resisted the urge to start another project....

But now its back to stitching The Holly Fairy.....

I'm hoping that she too will be complete by the weekend.

FNWF - Holly Fairy Stitching

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

So Friday found me taking part with.....

Friday Night With Friends

Joining in with like minded crafter's from around the world who join together (virtually) that is.....on the first Friday of the month to do a spot of knitting, sewing, crocheting, quilting etc....whatever craft you like....

Thank you to Cheryll for hosting this fabulous get together.

I decided to continue stitching

The Holly Fairy

(by Nora Corbett)

So here she is....almost finished.

I just have to do the back stitching and add the beads.....

Hopefully I will be able to finally complete her this week and then I can move onto something else.

As I promised myself at the beginning of the year, I have resisted the urge to start something new...I'm trying very hard to complete projects that I have started and left unfinished on frames, on hoops and in work baskets....and yes I know I shouldn't leave them on frames and on hoops but I'm always going to pick them up tomorrow you see....until something happens or I'm busy doing something else.....

Right now I can spend a bit of time having a look at what everyone else was doing.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
