Leap Frog.....

Good morning everyone.

Firstly I must apologise for being a very bad blogger.  I have been so busy recently and still seem to be suffering with a headache after last weeks migraine......but tomorrow sees my last day at work for 11 days.....Yeah!!!! so I'm hoping the weather stays good and I can get lots of crafting done.

Today I have a card to share that I made for a challenge last week....and yes I've done it again....I missed the deadline.....I'm just 'rubbish' at the moment.

The image is Penny Black ~ Jump For Joy! and I have coloured using Promarkers. The papers are from a new paper pad I bought from BasicGrey called Sweet Threads. I just love these papers. The flowers are various sized retro flower punches and I have added pearls and gems to finish.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:~

Freshly Brewed Challenge ~ # 89 ~ Spring
Gingerloft Challenge ~ # 36 ~ Happy Birthday

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely day.

February Journal...Late...Late...Late Again!!!

Hello everyone.....I hope you are all well.

Well I'm playing catch up again and I've got so many things to finish too.

The reason why I am so behind is because Friday saw me in Harrogate at Art From The Heart with Polly, Sue and Sandra at one of the fabulously talented Kate Cranes workshops, and what a great time we had. I learnt so much and I was itching to get started with all the wonderful new techniques I had learnt but Saturday saw me on the early train....1st Class...'don't you know' heading for a weekend in Manchester. We spent lots of time shopping and then onto lunch and The Lowery for a show. A ballet.....Matthew Bourne's The Nutcracker which was fantastic. In the evening we were out to dinner and then more shopping on Sunday....Radley handbags and Birkenstocks. Arrived home Sunday evening very tired and went on to mum and dads for a late Sunday dinner...which was lovely as they had just arrived back after 5 weeks in Australia,.....spending the inheritance.....Only joking!!!....they had a wonderful time but its so nice to have them back.

I have had this journal page finished for a while but haven't had time to post it on my blog.

This is not how I imagined the pages would turn out and I'm really not quite sure about them but their growing on me. I just feel there is something missing!!!!

Thank you for stopping by.

I will try and catch up with you all soon.

Here is the photo

This week we are sponsored by Pink Gem Designs

I have used this cute little robin from Pink Gem Designs called Robin With Mistletoe. I have coloured using Promarkers. The papers and ribbon are from my stash and the sentiment is LOTV. I made the wreath by using a leaf punch and forming them into the shape of a wreath around the robin.
The pearls are from the The Hobby House.

Bluebird's Proposal....

Good morning everyone....I hope you are all well.

I, unfortunately have had a humdinger of a migraine over the last few days but thankfully I feel as though its beginning to improve....although I still have a whopper headache going on.

I made this card using a sketch over on the Willow Sketchie Challenge and if I don't post it now I'll miss the deadline....how many times do I do that?......

The image is Bluebird's Proposal from Simply Gorjuss and I've coloured using Promarkers. The papers are a mixture from my stash. The flower border and flower are die cuts and the sentiment is from LOTV. The little punched butterflies were left over from a previous project. I have finished off by adding a little Stickles to the flowers and some glossy accents to her boots.

Mother's Day Cupcake

Good evening everyone....I hope you are all well.

Just a quick post to show a photo of the giant cupcake my daughter, Brogan made for me for Mother's Day.

I haven't had any yet as I don't want to spoil it.

It's a chocolate sponge cake with apple green vanilla flavoured icing, and white chocolate fingers and the flowers are royal icing with silver ball centres.

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely evening.

Bath~Time Buddies

Good morning everyone....and a very Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there....I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Today I have a card to share that I made for my partners mum....I offered him lots of different cards to give to her but he insisted on this little decoupage image....as his mum has 3 dogs, soon to be 4.

The image is from a set of 4 called 'hot diggity dog' and was nice and simple to put together until I had completed the card and managed to drop an ink pad on top of it.....luckily it missed the decoupaged bit, and I was able to salvage the rest of the card.....Phew!!!!

Have a lovely Sunday.

Thank you for stopping by.

Vintage Wings

Good afternoon everyone....well what a wonderful Sunday it is, the weather is fabulous and we have had a lovely day.

This morning we took the dogs for a walk in some of the local woods.

This is Stella and Daz with the 'Boss'

And this is Bertie having a scout round.

We then came home and went out for lunch at a small Thai restaurant, afterwards we had an ice cream on the sea front and I can't believe how many people were on the beach....and then I came home to watch my beloved rugby....and we 'WON'....yeah!!!!

Oh yes and I have something to share too.

I'm sorry its not a great photo.

I went to my friend Polly's last week and had an lovely evening of crafting with Polly and Jacs.....'I never finish anything as we end up chatting' but just to prove it girls.....I finished the 'Tag'.....

The tag is a Tim Holtz die cut as are the angel wings and the bird and cage. I used one of Polly's stamps for the background.....I think this is also Tim Holtz....in fact if I think about it, most of the embellishments are Tim Holtz too. The rose ribbon, flowers and pearls are from The Hobby House. I have edged everything with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I would like to enter this tag into the following challenges:~

I have finally got round to making a card. I have had such a busy week and I'm so tired but all the running about and the house work are done now so I can relax and spend the afternoon watching my beloved rugby.

I made this card for a challenge and then missed the deadline.....I can't tell you how many times I have done this little trick.....but hey~ho.....never mind.....

This is one of the images I chose from Robyn's Fetish when I won some digis last month. She is called Angie Angel and I just thought she was so sweet.

The papers are from my scraps box. I have coloured using Promarkers and the roses are from The Hobby House. The sentiment is from LOTV. I have finished off using a couple of gems and added Stickles to her wings.

I have had this stamp for years and I am ashamed to say that I have never used it until now. The image is called Winter Lingers by Stamps Happen. Spring Hare

Good afternoon everyone.....I hope you are all well.

Its been a lovely sunny day here if not a little chilly.....and just a tad windy down on the sea front were I have been out for lunch with a friend.

Today I would like to share a picture of an embroidery that my mum made for me....As well as mermaids I love hares and living in Lincolnshire we have a fair amount of them racing around the local countryside.

This isn't a very clear photo but the hare is made up of different materials such as fabric, leather, metallic threads, gold work and beads.

I love this picture and was really thrilled when mum gave it to me.

Thank you for stopping by.

One Stitch At A Time

Hello everyone....I hope you are all well.

First I would like to say a huge 'Hello and Welcome' to my new followers. Thank you so much for joining me on my crafting journey.

Today I have something a little different....and its completed and framed too (has been for some time to be honest) but I would still like to share it here on my blog. After cleaning out the wardrobes and finding lots of unfinished pieces of embroidery/cross stitch I'm now on a mission to complete all the things I have started.....and believe me this will take me forever.....

This is a Miribilia cross stitch design called The Queen Mermaid. I loved doing this picture partly because I love anything mermaid and partly because of the beautiful colours and threads in the pack. I have several other patterns by the same designer and all are mermaids.

Over the years I have given away nearly everything that I have stitched but this is one picture that I am definitely keeping.

Thank you for stopping by.

Sunday Football

Good afternoon everyone.....

Well the weather here is rubbish.....Rain, Rain, Rain....but I guess we need it really, the garden did look a bit sorry for itself.

At last I have managed to make a card....I promised myself at the beginning of the year that I would try and make more cards for men/boys, as I tend to shy away from them unless I really need one.....I never know what to make for male cards.

Anyway here is a birthday card for a boy....no boy in particular just any little boy.

I have had this LOTV image for ages and it has only been used once. The papers are First Edition ~ Up, Up & Away. I have coloured using Promarkers. The sentiment is LOTV and the pearls are from The Hobby House. I have added some twine which is my new favourite thing and I want to use it on all my cards just lately. This is my second reel of black and white already.

I have followed this sketch from Sketch n Stash Challenge....

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:~

Sketch N Stash Challenge ~ # 82 ~ Jill's Sketch
Aud SentimentsChallenge ~ # 49 ~ Happy Birthday

Today I have my ATC's to share for February's swap over at Ali's ATC Swap~Stop!. With it being February the theme was of course....Love!!!!

The papers were from my stash as were the buttons, pearls and the ribbon. The die cut tag is from Magnolia and the little stickers are peels offs from a bargain bin at one of my local garden centres.

I'm now looking forward to receiving my swaps through the post.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for stopping by.
