Oooops.....A Forgotten Card.....

Hi everyone....

I hope you are all well.

I've been a bit quiet on my blog recently and that is due to me going back to work after being off for a few months with a shoulder problem....I'm still trying to get back in the swing.

The shoulder is still playing up but I'm hoping it will settle down as time goes by and that I can start to spend a little more time crafting.

I was looking through my cards the other day and found this card which I had made for a DT challenge and then as I was struggling to keep up with all my DT commitments and the shoulder I stepped down from the team before the challenge went live.

This image is called Kaye from Crafty Sentiments Designs. I coloured using Promarkers and the papers are from my stash. The pearls, ribbon and gems are from The Hobby House as are the punches I used for the flowers and leaves.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

My First Zentangle.....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

It's lovely and sunny here today and quite warm on my little patio.....but as I sit here with my cup of tea after my morning at work I spy lots of weeds.......so I'm going to ignore them.....for now at least!!!!

Recently I won this little booklet from Craft Stamper magazine.

So I bought the rest of the kit as I was quite interested in having a go and while I was away in Whitby I had a go at my first Zentangle.

And here it is

It's not great but I enjoyed my time doodling although I have no idea what I'm going to do with it now it's finished.

I think I will keep trying this and think of something more to do with it. I did think maybe I could add some Zentangles to one of my journal pages but we will have to wait and see.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Robin Hood's Bay

Good morning everyone.

Well it's another beautiful morning here so I'm  hoping it lasts all day.

I thought I would share a few more photos of our week in Whitby.

We walked along the Cleveland Way cliff top path to Robin Hood's Bay one day and although we do a fair amount of walking I think I was a little out of practise....I had to stop quite a few times to take in the scenery (and catch my breath!!!).....(well that's my excuse anyway) .

We returned to Whitby (after a very large hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and a flake.....I think I deserved it!!!!)......via the Cinder Track which was the old railway line from Robin Hood's Bay to Whitby and this was so much easier being flatter.

THE CLEVELAND WAY

While we were walking we saw a deer on the path in front of us but I wasn't quick enough with the camera and a couple pointed out a 'weasel' who was chasing a rabbit around some burrows.....we watched for ages but I was so engrossed I didn't even think to take a photo.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Distress It......

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well .

The sun is shining here although it's still very cold but it looks as though it's going to be a beautiful day.

Today we have a new challenge over at

A Gem Of A Challenge

And our theme this week is

DISTRESS IT

Here is my DT card

For my card I used this beautiful pre~coloured digi image from Pink Gem Designs called Chloe In Knitted Hat. The papers are from my stash and I used Kraft which I distressed at the edges with scissors and added Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the rose ribbon and pearls are from The Hobby House. The butterfly is a die cut and the sentiment is computer generated.

Please pop along to the main challenge blog and take a look at all the lovely creations the rest of the DT have made for your inspiration.

Whitby.....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

It's so windy here this morning.....in fact it's been blowing a gale all night and I spent some of it with my head under the pillow as I just hate the wind.....

Anyway as we were away in Whitby last week I thought I would share a few of my photos.

Whitby has got to be one of my all time favourite places to visit.....I love it there and never tire of it......not even climbing the 199 steps several times a day....

We had some dull days, rainy days, windy days, misty days, snowy days and yes we had 'a' sunny day too.....luckily this was the day we tackled the Cleveland Way cliff top path from Whitby to Robin Hood's Bay and came back via The Cinder Track.....about a 13 mile round walk which took us about 7 hours minus a stop in Robin Hood's Bay and tea in Whitby before climbing back up the 199 steps to the Abbey so we could get back to the caravan park.......it was worth it though.

WHITBY

Marianne.... I had the fish and chips at the The Magpie for you.
(Well I had the Scampi actually as I can have fabulous fish any time I like living where I do)

THE ABBEY

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a lovely day.

Great!!!! Now it's lashing down with rain and blowing a gale......I guess I'll just have to stay in my craft room now then.............

April Showers....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Well at last the weather looks to be improving....Thank Goodness.

I can't believe that I'm still managing to keep up with one of my New Year's Resolutions.....and that was to join in with Kate Crane's 365 Calendar Journal......I know I'm a bit late but here it is completed......

For my April pages I decided on different shades of blue acrylic paints just adding black, white and silver to co-ordinate. I also picked the theme of April Showers although thankfully we haven't seen much of these.....yet!

The images are Dylusions Rubber Stamps - Ruby Rainbow which I stamped out and coloured using my Distress Markers. I used a stencil for the rain shower effect and finished off with splashes and circles randomly placed across the pages.

I am adding my April journal pages to Kate Crane's 365 Journal Challenge.

All that's left is for me to fill it in......

And Polly.....I've done it again.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a lovely day.
