LAST OF THE CHRISTMAS CARDS

Evening everyone....I hope you are all well. Today was my last day at work and I have 5 lovely days off over Christmas....and I'm going to enjoy every minute.

Tonight I would like to share the last of the Christmas cards that I made this year. These were very quick and easy to make.....

These images are pre~coloured die cuts from LOTV. I bought them ages ago and found them while tidying up in the craft room. I just added backing papers from my scraps stash, pearls and lots of Stickles. The sentiments were also from LOTV.

Thank you for stopping by.

NAUGHTY LITTLE ELF

Morning everyone.....I hope you are all well.

Today I have a card to share. I made this Christmas card to give to my daughter Brogan....I used to shy away from these white cards but now I think they have rather grown on me as I seem to make them more often.

The image is by Mo Manning from Penny Black....Little Elf  Finn. I love these little elves, they look so cheeky.

I have coloured with Promarkers....a while since I've picked these up so I think I'm a little out of practise but never mind I hope to have more free time in the New Year....HaHaHa!!!.

I have embossed the background and used various punches and corner rounders and the sentiment is from LOTV....and of course I've used lots and lots of Stickles for that added bit of Christmassy bling.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:~

Creative Inspirations Challenge ~ # 142 ~ Whitewash
Cupcake Inspirations Challenge ~ # 141 ~ Photo Inspiration
Pile It On Challenge # 49 ~ Bling It Up

WEDDINGS AND BIRTHDAYS

Morning everyone....I hope you are all well.

Well at last I have now finished my round of Christmas dinners, lunches and drinks with friends, work colleagues and the various groups I belong to....I absolutely love it but boy does it make you tired. Four more days at work and then I have five lovely days off for Christmas......I just love Christmas......

Today I would like to share the last of the Wedding cards I was asked to make and a 25th Wedding Anniversary card.....

This was the third card I had made for the same wedding and I tried to make them all different.....I made a box for this one as the roses were too big to pop in an envelope.

This is the card I made for the 25th Wedding Anniversary....the roses look yellow in this photograph but they are cream.....just rubbish photos.

I love winter but the light is rubbish for taking pictures of cards.....or maybe its down to my rotten photography.......

Thank you for stopping by.

WINTER/CHRISTMAS ATC's

Evening everyone.....I hope you are all well out there in blogland.

Today I have some ATC's to show.....The theme for this month's swap over at ALI's  ATC  SWAP~STOP! was Winter/Christmas. I had quite a few decoupage Christmas images tucked away that I hadn't used and decided that they were perfect for this month swap.

I mounted the finished decoupage images on to some scraps of gold Mirri card and the only other thing I added was lots and lots of Stickles.

Sorry about the poor picture quality but still hoping that Santa will bring me that lovely photographic light box........

Thank you for stopping by.

WINTER WEDDING

Good afternoon everyone....its very cold and wet here today. I'm still not feeling great but better than yesterday.....Thank you so much for all your kind words, thoughts and well wishes....your all wonderful and certainly reading your comments makes me feel better.

Today I have another card to share, this is one of the three I was asked to make for a winter wedding.

I took my inspiration for this card from a scrapbook page that I did with the very talented Polly who teaches at my scrapbook classes at one of the local craft shops.

This was the original page that Polly taught.....

I haven't added a photograph yet as I'm trying to get hold of one photo in particular, when I have the photo I would like to then put this scrapbook page in a box frame and give it as a gift.

Thank you for the inspiration Polly.

Thank you for stopping by.

ESKIMO KISSES

Good afternoon everyone....I hope you are all well.....

I am sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while or commented on everyones'  blogs as regularly as I should  but I haven't been feeling too well....thankfully things are now improving so I am making an early resolution to do better next year.

Today I have a card to share.....

I'm sorry about the terrible photo....Here's hoping Santa brings me a lovely photographic light box for Christmas....hint...hint.

The image is pre~coloured and I think I bought it on a sheet of six from the Hobby House.....I was way behind with Christmas cards and I needed half a dozen very quick images and these fitted the bill perfectly. I must start making my Christmas cards much earlier next year.

I added lots of Stickles to the fur and for the snow and just added a LOTV sentiment along with some gold card and some DP's from my scraps box.

Thank you for stopping by.

CHOCOLATE ORANGE

Good afternoon everyone....I hope you are all well and keeping warm.

Its bitter cold and wet here today but on a positive note I have finished the house~work and all the shopping is done.

I am sorry for my lack of crafting and commenting lately but every year at this time I take it upon myself to do all the extra jobs that I need to do....ie ~ cleaning out cupboards and drawers, washing inside windows, cleaning all the ornaments and polishing mirrors etc etc etc....I have been seen to hoover the walls....yes I'm quite mad and I have no idea why I do this just before Christmas but I do.....then I'm happy to put the tree up.....Well maybe next weekend anyway......

I do have a card to share today and I'm sorry to say its not a Christmas card although I'm so behind with them now I may have to resort to plan B.....shock horror....bought ones....I know next year I must do better!!!!!

This card was for no particular reason other than I found these die cut decoupage sheets in my craft room and thought I would have a play. The papers are from my scraps box and I have simply used some punches, a border punch and some Nesties....well at least I have a birthday card ready for next year.

Thank you for stopping by.

Today we have a new challenge over at CHRISTMAS CRAFTING!  and this month Arline(snr) has chosen the theme.....and it is.....'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town'.....so we would love to see all your wonderful Santa images on your projects.

And here is my Santa card....I seem to be in a vintage type of mood just lately.

This month we are sponsored by Di's Digital Downloads.

I have used an image from Tim Holtz this time and my papers are Papermania ~ A Silent Night. I have stamped using Momento ink and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I have distressed the edges of my card and paper before adding the ink to the edges. The sentiment is from Magnolia. WEDDING CAKE

Good evening everyone.....I hope you are all well....

I have just realised that it is a week since I last posted anything but I promise I have been busy.

Last Thursday I went to the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate with my mum and we had a lovely day encouraging each other to part with our money.

On Friday my partner and I went to York for the weekend.....we stayed in a lovely hotel overlooking the river. While there we went on a city bus tour, a river boat trip, a ghost walk through the city at night......very spooky. We went to the York dungeons, saw Mike Harding at the theatre and walked the city walls.....and of course lots of shopping and way too much eating....needless to say I was pretty much worn out but I had a wonderful week off work.....

And I do have a card to share......

I have been asked to make three cards for the same wedding and this is the first one to be finished. The papers are g.c.d called Ella Blue. The cake is just made with pieces of embossed card and embellished with punched flowers. I have lightly inked all the edges with Distress Inks and used lots of pearls to decorate.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:~

Lollipop Crafts Challenge ~ # 59 ~ B is for....Blue, Brown and Butterfly

TWO LITTLE DICKIE BIRDS...

Good afternoon everyone....

Well I've finally managed to make another Christmas card....I'm way behind with making them and I thought I was doing so well....I've actually made this card when I should be concentrating on 3 Wedding cards, a 40th Birthday card and a 25th Wedding Anniversary card which I need to get finished asap but I keep putting them off.

Anyway never mind....this is what I've made instead.....

The image is called Winter Birdhouse by Tina Wenke. I have coloured using Promarkers.....I never seem to be able to get the reds right for some reason....Oh well I'll have to keep trying. The papers are a mix of Dovecraft 'Noel' and Authentique 'Wonder' paper pads. I have used Marianne Creatables die cuts for the leaves and the flowers and I have finished off using lots of Stickles and pearls.

The image is another House Mouse stamp called 'Fish Bowl'....I just love these cheeky little mice. I have coloured the image using Promarkers and the papers are from my scraps box....I'm sorry I can't remember which paper pad they are from....naughty me!!! The sentiment is LOTV. VINTAGE CAR

Evening everyone....I hope you are all well.

Today I have another card to share. I made this card for my partners father's birthday which is today.

This is a totally different style of card for me but I have to say I really enjoyed making it. I must also report that at last I think my Mojo has finally found its way back home....Thank goodness!!!.....I will be having a serious word with it later to find out where it has been of late.

The image for this card is from Rubbernecker and the papers are from a Kanban paper pad called Industriana which I think are just perfect for men's cards. The cogs and wheels are Tim Holtz. The piece of brown card in the centre was embossed and then rubbed over with a bronze wax.

BITS AND BOBS

Evening everyone.....

Today I have another card to share that I have finished. It is another card designed by Sue, and was one of the six cards that we made at the Christmas card workshop that I attended recently.

This card was the last card to be made and Sue designed it so we were able to use up all the scraps that we had left over from the previous five cards that she had taught us.

Its a very simple card but of course there is plenty of free space to add other embellishments if you wanted to be more creative. I have deliberately left this space as I didn't want to cover up the lovely papers. Thanks Sue....I think this is a really good idea for using up those little scraps of paper, especially as I hate to throw anything away.

Thank you for stopping by.

SNOWY DAY

Evening everyone....

Today I have another completed scrapbook page to share. This is another page taught by the very talented and creative Polly at my local craft shop.

This is a photo of myself and my daughter and was taken late last year when we were out walking the dogs in the woods. The snow had been quite heavy overnight and it was extremely cold and we were very wet after a spot of snowballing.

I haven't had very much to show in the way of cards lately but I have been trying to complete various projects that I have started and have left unfinished .....so I'm trying to finish things off and sort out my craft room at the moment. I do have cards that I have made but I can't show them at the minute as they are for various up and coming birthdays, weddings and anniversary's.

Thank you for stopping by.

VINTAGE SANTA

Morning everyone....well at last I've managed to set aside some time to just sit and play in my craft room. I have been so busy just lately that the days seem to slip by between posts....but I must confess to being one of those people who can say....and I'm sorry but ...."I've finished my Christmas shopping".

Don't get me wrong.....I absolutely love Christmas but I detest shopping unless of course its for crafty bits and pieces....so hopefully now I can spend a little more time creating and crafting.

Today I have a card to share that I made at a Christmas card workshop. We made six cards in total and the class was taught by Sue and was held at one of my local craft shops.

This is the first card of the six I have completed and as per usual for me I never seem to finish things at these workshops so end up bringing them home to finish....eventually. All the cards Sue designed and  taught us had different elements which you could easily recreate. I had a lovely day and came home with lots of ideas.....so 'Thank You' Sue.....

Thank you for stopping by.

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Hello everyone...

Today sees a new challenge over at CHRISTMAS CRAFTING! and this month the lovely Morgan has chosen the theme and it is the 'Twelve Days of Christmas'....so we would love to see you use this Christmas song to inspire your creations for this months challenge.

The sponsor for this months challenge is Robyn's Fetish and here is my card using one of their lovely images. The image I have used is called 'Gilded Christmas Dove'....and I used this image to represent the turtle doves in the song but as you can see I have only used the one dove where there should be two.....

I have coloured the image using gold and silver metallic Letraset markers and used Diamond Stickles to the body of the dove. I then cut out the image and mounted it on embossed card which I rubbed over with silver wax.

So please pop over to Christmas Crafting! and have a look at the lovely creations my team mates have come up with.....and we would love for you to join us in this months challenge.

Thank you for stopping by.

SPOOKED!

Morning everyone....Firstly I would like to say 'Hello and Welcome' to my new followers and secondly to apologise yet again for being such a rotten blogger lately.....My Mojo seems to have done a bit of a runner recently so I thought I would give myself a week off and see if the said Mojo decided to return....

Today I have some ATC's to share...

I have made these for the October swap over at ALI'S ATC SWAP-STOP where this months theme was SPOOKED!.

The papers are from my scraps box and the image which I have coloured with Promarkers is a stamp from a Penny Black set called ~ Be Very Scared. I have die cut the letters from a Tim Holtz Alterations die cut alphabet called ~ Upon a Time.

Thank you for stopping by.

CHRISTMAS CRACKER

Afternoon everyone....I hope you are all having a lovely, relaxing Sunday. Its very quiet here today as they are all at work and as all the house work is done I thought I'd spend a few hours in the craft room....well tidying it anyway....

I was having a clean around and realised that I hadn't shown this Christmas Cracker that I made last year for a competition....

Unfortunately the competition was cancelled but secretly I was quite pleased as I was a little reluctant to part with the cracker...you see we were going to put a little gift inside and swap them with the other entrants but I had grown attached to my cracker and am pleased I was able to keep it.....although to be truthful its just sat here gathering dust.

I followed the instructions from one of the Magnolia Ink magazines last year on how to make it and I really enjoyed myself. The papers are Bo Bunny and the image is a Gorguss stamp called Foxy from Sugar Nellie. I coloured the image with Distress Inks and then just embellished with ribbon, flowers, die cut snowflakes, brads, charms and pearls.

I have toyed with the idea of making one for each member of  the family to have on the table with a small gift in on Christmas Day but we shall have to see about that.....

Thank you for stopping by.
