It's A Sketch.....

This week we have a sketch for you

and here is my DT card

For my card I used this sweet digi image from Pink Gem Designs called Bathtime Baby. I coloured the image with Promarkers and the papers are my favourites from Craft Creations Ltd. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and added gingham ribbon and a bow. I finished my card with some flower shaped buttons from my stash and some pearls and gems from The Hobby House. The sentiment is from LOTV.

The prize for the winner will be two individual digi images of the winners choice from Pink Gem Designs. (No sets, personalised watermark's or sentiment sets).

For my card I decided to have a go at something a little different. Over Christmas I saw quite a few cards made using this idea of rolling up different lengths of design paper and shaping a Christmas tree. I enjoyed making this card although it was fiddly but it was a good way of using up those left over scraps that we all have. I added some buttons from my stash and a gold button star. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card.

Shop Til' You Drop......

Good afternoon everyone.
I hope that you are all well.
It's seems such a long time since I made a card but I have finally got round to making one. 
I think my Mojo has been on a very long holiday but has finally decided to come home......!!!!!

I followed this sketch from Sketch N Stash as I thought it would help to give me some inspiration.

The image is a die~cut card topper by Mo Manning called Best Friends which I have just bought from The Hobby House. The papers are from Wild Rose Studio called Vintage Rose and I've had these for ages and I found them at the bottom of a pile of paper pads which were stacked away in a corner of my craft~room......(note to self.....should tidy craft~room more often.....you never know what you might find!!!!). The pearls and roses are also from The Hobby House and the stick pins are from my stash.

Make It Sentimental......

For my card I used 'The Best Wishes' sentiment from Pink Gem Designs. I used two slightly different shades of pink card from Bazzill, some silver Mirri card and then embossed a piece of white card and matted all these. The ribbon, brad, spacer and pearls are from The Hobby House. The flowers are from my stash box.

Oooops.....A Forgotten Card.....

Hi everyone....
I hope you are all well.
I've been a bit quiet on my blog recently and that is due to me going back to work after being off for a few months with a shoulder problem....I'm still trying to get back in the swing.
The shoulder is still playing up but I'm hoping it will settle down as time goes by and that I can start to spend a little more time crafting.
I was looking through my cards the other day and found this card which I had made for a DT challenge and then as I was struggling to keep up with all my DT commitments and the shoulder I stepped down from the team before the challenge went live.

This image is called Kaye from Crafty Sentiments Designs. I coloured using Promarkers and the papers are from my stash. The pearls, ribbon and gems are from The Hobby House as are the punches I used for the flowers and leaves.

My First Zentangle.....

Good afternoon everyone.
I hope you are all well.
It's lovely and sunny here today and quite warm on my little patio.....but as I sit here with my cup of tea after my morning at work I spy lots of weeds.......so I'm going to ignore them.....for now at least!!!!
Recently I won this little booklet from Craft Stamper magazine.

So I bought the rest of the kit as I was quite interested in having a go and while I was away in Whitby I had a go at my first Zentangle.
And here it is

It's not great but I enjoyed my time doodling although I have no idea what I'm going to do with it now it's finished.
I think I will keep trying this and think of something more to do with it. I did think maybe I could add some Zentangles to one of my journal pages but we will have to wait and see.
