A LITTLE BIT OF AUDREY

Afternoon everyone....The weather here has been glorious today, beautiful warm sunshine....great for pottering around in the garden.

Today I have been having a bit of a play with some of my new goodies that I picked up at Alexandra Palace at the weekend. I had a lovely time but spent far too much money.....but Hey Ho....back to work tomorrow!!!

I'm not quite sure what I have created here....a tag maybe or just a bit of 'Art' and I don't have a clue what its use is but I quite like the way it turned out.

At the show I watched a demonstration using Distress Stains and Perfect Pearls Mists so I thought I would give it a try.....well I tried and this was the result....

The image is a stamp that my friend had which I fell in love with....I love Audrey Hepburn and I thought this stamp was lovely so my friend stamped a couple of images out for me to bring home....Thanks Lis. The other bits and pieces are Tim Holtz and Crafty Individuals that I bought or I already had in my stash.
The ribbons and the roses I distressed using Distress Inks and I quite like the effect.

Think I might be giving this another try as I enjoyed getting messy which is so not me.....

Thank you for stopping by.

NOT PINK AGAIN...!!!

Afternoon everyone...and yet another card.....my card creations are like buses nothing for ages and then they all come along at once.....and yes!!! I'm sorry, its pink again.

This is a card that I have made for my mum's birthday, its not until Sunday but its safe here until then as I don't think she looks at my blog....in fact I know she doesn't.....

The image is ideal for mum as she sews/embroiders {but she absolutely hates cross stitch}....so I'm sure she'll love this card....hope so anyway...I've just noticed that the image is a bit wonky but I'm sure mum will forgive me for that.

The image is from House Mouse and I've coloured with Promarkers. The papers are Forever Friends ~ Pink Parfait. The border punch is Martha Stewart. I have used various punches for the leaves and flowers and the pearls and pins are from the Hobby House.

HOPPY BIRTHDAY

Good afternoon everyone.... I hope you are all well. Its a beautiful sunny day here if not a touch blustery.

Today I have another card to share....can you tell I'm off work this week...!!!

I have made this card for a friend of mine although I'm afraid it is a little late.

The image is Penny Black...I've coloured with Distress Inks and Promarkers ~ I just couldn't get the green for the frog quite right with my Promarkers, so I resorted back to DI's. The papers are from Papermania ~ Rose Garden. I have used one of my favourite Nesties and added a ribbon, some pearls and of course Stickles.

FIZZY WITH FLOWERS

Good afternoon everyone....the weather here is just awful, cold and wet....so I think the craft room is a good place to be today....just as well as I have so many projects to finish.

I think Mr Blogger is playing up as well....I have had some new followers in the last few days and one minute it shows a picture and then the next they have vanished again and the number of followers keeps going up and down too....so I'm sorry ladies but Thank you for following me. Hopefully Blogger will play nicely soon.

Today's card is one I was asked to make for a colleague at work....

The image is Fizzy Moon and I've coloured with Promarkers. The papers are a mixture of Craft Creations Ltd and Papermania. I have used a couple of punches to make the flowers and added a few of my favourite embellishments....pearls from the Hobby House.

Good afternoon everyone.....

Get me....another card to share and its only Monday but I have got a week off work....I have so many cards to make though, which I am slowly ploughing my way through....

Today's card is another wedding card and I've gone for the safe option of a boxed card again....

I was inspired by this picture from  the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge:~

The image is from Lili of the Valley and I have coloured with Promarkers. The papers are a mix of Papermania ~ Rose Garden and My Mind's Eye ~ Blush. The roses are from various places and from my stash. I have also used a Martha Stewart border punch, a Nestie and some Magnolia die cuts, some pearls from the Hobby House and quite a quantity of Stickles.

THE CHRISTMAS STORY

Afternoon everyone....I hope you are all enjoying a lovely, relaxing Sunday.

First I would like to welcome all my new followers....Thank you for joining me on my crafting adventure. Although I haven't posted much in the last couple of weeks, I promise I am busy....with things that I can't show just at the minute.

I've had a great morning so far....I watched my boys...the England rugby team win their match but must admit those Georgian players certainly gave them something to think about....then we took the 'Bert' for a walk in the local woods, it was quite cold but there was lots of lovely sunshine and I must admit this is my favourite time of year....I really should have taken the camera though.

Anyway today I have a card to share.....at last!!!

This is the front view....

And this is the side view....

This card started out using a beer mat which was left over from last weeks workshop that I attended. I have altered it using Gesso and Spakle then added Distress Inks and Glimmer Mists...I've had a go at an easel card as I don't do these very often. The papers were in my scrap box and the flower is made from left over bits of paper from the workshop project. The small image is from a Crafty Individuals book and the leaves are Magnolia die cuts. I have finished off with pearls and gems and some Stickles to the flower.

SHUSH LITTLE BABY...

Evening everyone...hope you are all well.

Tonight I have a card to share that I have made to give to very special friends of mine who have just become  grandparents for the first time...

The image is called 'Sleeping Teddy' from Peachy Keen Stamps, I bought this stamp recently in a sale at my local craft shop and the papers are from October Afternoon and are called 'Ducks in a Row', a paper pad I've had for ages. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added pearls and Stickles.

I have followed this sketch from Sketch n Stash Challenge...you could choose a sketch from their past sketch catalogue this week.

PRETTY AS A PICTURE

Afternoon everyone....It feels so long since I've had anything to show....I have lots of unfinished projects but I haven't had anything finished that I was able to share....until today.

On Sunday I spent a lovely day at one of my local craft shops making this....

Its amazing what you can do with a few beer mats, some inks and die cuts....and lots of crafty embellishments.

The class was taught by Sue who is so talented and incredibly patient with everyone. I learnt so many new techniques and I had a wonderfully messy time having a play with lots of new (to me) products....and learning new ways to use Distress Inks.....

And another thing, I've actually finished this project too. I'm getting a bit good at completing my projects.

Thank you for stopping by.

HEY DIDDLE DIDDLE

Evening everyone....

It was Brogan's first day at college today....I don't know where the time has gone....it only feels like it was yesterday when I held her hand and took her to  nursery school for her first day....

Anyway, tonight I have another card to share....

I have no reason to make this card other than the stamp was a real bargain and I just had to have it. It was in a sale basket at one of my local craft shops and it was only 99p. Well what is a girl to do......

The stamp is from Rubber Stampede and is called ~ Cow Jumps Over Moon....I thought it would come in handy at some point. There was only a little colouring to do with Promarkers and the papers are from Craft Creations Ltd. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and I have added buttons, dew drops and some Stickles to the stars.

I followed a sketch from this weeks Totally Gorjuss Challenge....

ROSE FAIRY

Hello everyone....a late post for me today....had a very busy day.

I have another card to share....although this is not quite how I intended this card to turn out....it was so different in my head...and I'm afraid by the time I got round to taking a photo the lighting was pretty poor.

The image is a Sweet Pea stamp called Blushing Rose Fairy and I've coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are from My Mind's Eye....Lost & Found ~ Blush paper pad. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the rose is from Prima...I think!!! I've Stickled the fairy wings and added pearls and ribbon.

I followed a sketch from the Fussy and Fancy Fridays Challenge....

DAISY HUG!!!

Afternoon everyone....Well I would have had this card posted earlier, except 'Silly Me' left the camera turned on last time I used it and when I went to take a photo....you guessed it...the battery was flat. I swear my memory is worse since I turned '40'.....

This is my card for today....

I have followed this sketch from Creative Inspirations Challenge....

And I also took some inspiration for the flowers from this picture from Cupcake Inspiration Challenges....

The image is a stamp from Penny Black called Squeeze Till I Squeak! I love these little mice, they are so cute. I have coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from My Mind's Eye...Quite Contrary. The flowers are made using punches from Martha Stewart, Nellie Snellen and Marianne Creatables. I have finished off  by adding some Stickles to the daisy centre and a few of my favourite embellishments....pearls from the Hobby House.

DISTRESSED OR WHAT!!!

Evening everyone....Hope you have all had a relaxing Sunday...

I managed to pop out for an hour this morning to a 'Demonstration Day' at one of my local craft shops and I wish I could have stayed all day....Lindsay Mason was demonstrating for Personal Impressions and she was brilliant....so many amazing ideas and techniques and such beautiful creations. Needless to say I came home with a lighter purse and ideas whizzing round in my head.....so watch this space.....

Today I have a card to share that I'm not sure if I like or not....I've had the Tilda finished on my desk for ages but I had an accident with the Distress Inks....I coloured her with the inks and was really pleased with the result, especially her hair when I dropped the ink on top of her resulting in a dirty brown mark on her knee....so I added another mark to her other knee and decided she must have been in the garden as this is what my trousers look like when I've been outside weeding.

The papers are a mish~mash from my scrap box.....Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye and Kaisercraft. The roses are from the Hobby House and the leaves are Marianne Creatables. I finished by adding some Glossy Accents to her boots.

I followed this sketch from Papertake Weekly Challenge....

CASTLE BOLTON

Afternoon everyone....well its turned out to be a beautiful day, very warm and sunny....so I'm going to potter in the garden for an hour when I've shown my next creation.

This morning I went along to my regular scrapbook class and this is what we did and yes....once again I've actually finished it. This is so unlike me....

The picture was taken a few years ago when we visited Castle Bolton....I think we've been about 3 times now but I do like it and I never get tired of visiting. Thank you to Tracey who designed the page layout. It was very quiet in class this morning as most of the regulars were either on their hols or busy doing other things but it was very peaceful and relaxing.

Over at Christmas Crafting! we are having a Christmas ATC swap....so if you want to join in pop over and take a look and if your interested be sure to let Arline know you want to join in.

Thank you for stopping by.....
