This is my daughter's sheet music for the trumpet for the carol 'The Holly & The Ivy'. Her music book is 'vintage'....it's old!!!
She is trying to learn all her music for next week when she along with the rest of her marching band will be playing carols on the prom....Brrrrr....it's going to be so cold.....Bless them!

Advent Calendar Day 9 - Christmas Bauble

As our tree isn't up yet and all decorations are still packed away I thought I would share some of the Christmas cards/decorations that I have made for Christmas's gone by that have a bauble on....

Advent Calendar Day 8 - Sleigh

Hello everyone.

I struggled with this one a little bit but then remembered I had bought six of these cross stitch beaded tree ornaments to make to go with the Santa's I had started......so I think I now have seven more Santa's to make and now these sleighs. That should keep me out of trouble....!!!

Advent Calendar Day 7 - Bell(s)

It's Day 7 of Julie's Advent Scavenger Hunt.

This is my little man...Monty. He is now 15 weeks old and very happy to wear a bell on his collar....we're very happy too as we know where he is!!!!...

It's not the best picture of a bell but I have found another

Trumpet Bell

This is my lovely daughter tuning up to play 'The Last Post' at the cenotaph this year.
I was incredibly proud of her and it certainly brought tears to my eyes especially as she has only been playing the trumpet for 18 months or so.
With other members of the ECE marching band...

and another bell....
Bell Of The Ball

My daughter and her boyfriend Matthew dancing the waltz for charity.
They learnt the waltz in 8 weeks and danced for Cancer Research. 
They did amazingly well and came second, by one point with a score of 29.....
Another reason to be a proud mum.....
And the ballroom shoes she was wearing (had) belonged to Joanne Clifton no less....Brogan was very lucky to be able to wear them....
A very special 'Thanks' to Joanne's mum and Joanne of course for loaning them to her for this event....I'm sure they brought her luck....x

I took this photograph a couple of years ago on a visit to Falling Foss, Whitby.

This little robin was singing away to me while perched on this boulder at the side of my car....he was so close I could almost touch him and he was extremely happy amongst us....it may have had something to do with free titbits....

I just adore robins....

I even buy my daughter a robin ornament for her Christmas tree every year.

I took this photograph a few years ago while visiting The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona (designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi)....a truly inspiring and beautiful place....Well worth a further visit me thinks!...
