My baby all grown up....

Very 60's hairstyle....

My favourite photo....

And finally my little car....covered in daisies and butterflies for the occasion....a little different to a limo me thinks.

PROM CARD

Today I'd like to share a card that I made for my daughter for her prom...this is the first prom, she is having another prom in a fortnight....two proms because as she was going into year 11 at her old school they closed the school down and moved all the pupils to another school....quite upsetting for their last year but they have decided to still have the prom for the old school....and a bit of a reunion....hence two proms, one for each school.

I decided to have another go at an easel card and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
I managed to find the same shade of green as her dress. The image is a Whiff of Joy stamp called Willow With Champagne....which was perfect for this card. The papers are a mixture from my scraps box. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and some Nestability dies. I've then finished off with gems, Stickles, a couple of pins and some punched dragonflies.

Sorry the photos aren't great. Hope to post a few pictures of her in her dress tomorrow.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

OOH LA LA...

Today I have two more scrapbook pages to show....I think I'm on a roll with trying to finish things off, but I still have a stack of stuff to tackle yet....

These photos as you can see I've had for ages as they were taken on my daughter's school trip to Paris in 2008...she always manages to take great photos and always looks good in photos herself where as I hate having my picture taken and always end up pulling my face.

The pages were again designed by Tracey for one of my scrapbook classes at Running With Scissors.

I would also like to show a piece of cross stitch that I have almost finished....I've had this on the frame for months.

Its almost finished apart from the outlining and I decided to add a few beads to the berries and the centres of the Christmas roses....not sure if their visible in this photo. I hope to get this framed so we can put it up over Christmas.

Thank you for looking.

CREAM AND BEIGE

Today I have a card to show that a friend at work asked me to make for her daughter who is celebrating a birthday next week. The only thing she asked for was something in cream and beige....

Well that had me stumped until I spied the left over pieces of paper from a scrapbook page that I did at Running With Scissors a fortnight ago.....I have almost completed this page but am waiting for some photos that I particularly want to put on the layout....its my daughter's prom this Friday, one of them anyway....she's having two....and I want some photos from this event to complete the page.

Anyway I digress, this is the card I made......

The image is one of my new stamps that I bought from Dimension Fourth at Doncaster a few weeks ago. I stamped the image and added shading with a Promarker and glittered all the edges of the letters and the leaves. A very kind lady at Dimension Fourth was demonstrating how to do this technique and kindly gave me the sample she had done so I could have a go myself....and this was my attempt. The papers as I say are the leftover scraps from the yet to be completed scrapbook page....yet to be shown. I then just added a a ribbon, some punched flowers and some pearls and jewels.

Thank you for looking.

LAVENDER CHILL OUT

Hello...what a wonderfully sunny day it is today although a bit hot for me I'm afraid....

How lucky am I?  I've got a week off work and I so hope the weather holds and I've also got the tennis to watch too...couldn't have planned it better if I'd tried....which I didn't.

Today's card is made with an image I coloured quite a while ago but have never got round to using.

I love House Mouse stamps, they are just so cute. I have coloured these little mice using Promarkers. The papers are from Craft Creations Limited. I bought quite a few of these in different colours as I have a bit of a thing about spots and stripes at the moment.  I have used some Bazzil card that I've had in my stash forever....think I bought these shades way back when I first started making cards. I have used a Martha Stewart border punch and I found the pearls at the bottom of my craft basket where I keep odds and ends but they matched perfectly.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

LEMON AND LIME

The weather is beautiful today and I have managed to make a bright and sunny card to share.

The image is one of my new Sugar Nellie stamps called Fairy Tale. I have coloured her with Promarkers, I think I'm getting the hang of them now. The papers are a mixture of Basic Grey and Kaisercraft.  I have used a couple of Nestability dies and a Martha Stewart border punch. The flowers are from my scraps box and came from various places. I've then just added some punched leaves and a butterfly and not forgetting a couple of brads and some Stickles to the hem of the dress.

These are not my usual choice of colours so I was a little out of my comfort zone but I wanted to play along with a few challenges.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Allsorts Challenge ~ # 109 ~ Lemon and Lime
I Love Promarkers Challenge ~ # 71 ~ Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft Challenge ~ # 147 ~ Sketcharoony

This was the sketch for The Cupcake Craft Challenge.

ALNWICK WATER GARDENS

I've finished another scrapbook page....yes really....I have!!!. I wonder how long I can keep this up?.

This morning I went to my local craft shop Running With Scissors as I do on a Saturday morning for a scrapbook class and again I came home and actually finished the page rather than putting it on one side to finish....sometime later.

Again these photos were taken at Alnwick Castle Gardens in Northumberland in the water feature gardens last year.  Well worth a visit....Alnwick is where they filmed some of the Harry Potter scenes. I'm afraid my photo of this page isn't very good.

Thanks to Tracey who designs all the scrapbook pages for us. I hope you don't mind Tracey but I added a few of my own embellishments and decided not to use the ribbon.

I've got a week off work now but have a 'To Do' list as long as my arm but am hoping to sneak in a bit of crafting.

I think Mr Blogger is playing up as my followers appear to have vanished yet again.

Thank you for looking.
