CHRISTMAS CRACKER

Afternoon everyone....I hope you are all having a lovely, relaxing Sunday. Its very quiet here today as they are all at work and as all the house work is done I thought I'd spend a few hours in the craft room....well tidying it anyway....

I was having a clean around and realised that I hadn't shown this Christmas Cracker that I made last year for a competition....

Unfortunately the competition was cancelled but secretly I was quite pleased as I was a little reluctant to part with the cracker...you see we were going to put a little gift inside and swap them with the other entrants but I had grown attached to my cracker and am pleased I was able to keep it.....although to be truthful its just sat here gathering dust.

I followed the instructions from one of the Magnolia Ink magazines last year on how to make it and I really enjoyed myself. The papers are Bo Bunny and the image is a Gorguss stamp called Foxy from Sugar Nellie. I coloured the image with Distress Inks and then just embellished with ribbon, flowers, die cut snowflakes, brads, charms and pearls.

I have toyed with the idea of making one for each member of  the family to have on the table with a small gift in on Christmas Day but we shall have to see about that.....

Thank you for stopping by.

Had a chuckle at the comment on your profile about using stash rather than looking at it - isn't that what us crafters do best!

I love that you couldn't part with it! As for making them for the family... could you sit by and watch as they tear them apart to get to the goodie inside? It would break my heart lol!! Even so.. I think I might have to have a go at some also :) x
